I was just wondering if there are any upcoming shows in chicago. I saw the band play in Nashville w/ Self. I thought you guys sounded great.

Hey! I'm originally from Tennessee, but I spend most of my year in Chicago now, a student at Northwestern. The band, to my knowledge, hasn't played outside of the Southeast very much, but I have it on good authority that they're coming to Chicago this fall... perhaps playing Nevin's Live in Evanston, but that part is wholly conjecture on my part because I suggested it when I told the management or whoever that I'd do what I could to promote a Chicago show.

So... this fall sometime, if all goes as they plan...

Hello 17down, and welcome.

Don't you just love Chicago? It's my favorite North American city. I know that the Features don't play there yet, but I would guess that on any given night of the week in Chicago, there is some good live music to be seen. Am I wrong?

I would concur with this. I recently took a little vacation there and went to, like, six museums in three days. It was, by far, the most educational trip I've ever taken. Also, I love eating at Pizzaria Uno. The original is so much better than the franchise joints that are springing up across the country.

All I am saying is field trip.

That's a very good idea! If the Features do, in fact, play in Chicago, maybe some of us could get together and go up for the show. Now that would be a MB meeting to remember! Seriously, Southwest usually has decent fares to Chicago... or we could drive up together. Wow.

Yeah, and maybe Chicago has an IHOP!

Just kidding around. I've been dying to get back to Chicago and that would be one hell of an excuse.

There is one like 5 blocks from the Howard St. El stop. Gooood eatin'.

Well, I've been told that they're coming, which makes my damned year. And jamie, you're right, best north american city. period. What, if I might ask, is your "best worldwide?" Mine goes to London, as yet.

Well, the only two major cities that I've been to outside of North America are London and Paris. Out of those two...damn, that's a hard choice. Paris is beautiful and charming, but London is just plain cool. Plus, you can speak English there, so I'll go with London.
