there's this new band, interpol, who have just released an album on matador records. i'm going on the record to say that this band is amazing. very joy division and the jesus and mary chain-esque. however, their not just some new genre rehash (black rebel motorcycle club), they have taken these influences and created something new and vibrant. if you're interested, you can download a few songs from the matador records mp3 page, download the track "PSA".....prepare to be amazed. or you could just ignore my advice...your choice.

I've been reading a lot about them and they do indeed look cool (nice suits etc) so I shall download some songs.

That's the way to get me, wear cool clothes...

If that isn't enough, throw in Matador Records and I'm sold. Thanks for the heads up, I'll check 'em out.

Ok... I was in Tower this weekend looking at the new Mojo and I saw a picture of this band. I was seduced into buying the CD on the strength of their amazing fashion sense and the I payed 5.00 for the CD which is truelly the key to my heart. I had unnknowingly heard a few songs on WRVU and wondered what they were... now I know.... I enjoy!!

I just bought the album last weekend at tower too. I am amazed by this album. It gets my vote for best album this year(so far). I fucking love it.
