Well, Entwistle is dead.  I've gotta hand it to him for putting up with the other guys in that band for as long as he did.  A member of one of my favorite groups has died, and I am sad for that, even though I never much fancied his bass playing.  R.I.P.

This came out of nowhere. It's really sad. I definitely have ripped off a lick or two from Entwistle. I've been copying those slide-up-high riffs- like he does repeatedly on songs like 'The Real Me'- for years.

RIP
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

The AP is reporting that Pete & Roger are continuing the tour. I agree with Damon that this is not good- it seems disrespectful. He will be missed.

Unbelievable! How can you go on with the tour when your bassist has just died? This blows my mind. We always knew that Daltrey didn't have a brain, but Pete, what are you thinking?

You say it like its a bad thing......they are just finishing the tour and thats it. this was supposed to be the last tour but it looks like it might actually be. of course replacing will suck ass and no one can replace him but come on...if they cancel the rest of the tour more fans (like me) will be disapointed. yes this is a travesty but come on.....

JC.....roger and pete know what they are doing.....pete can barely hear and he's still rockin.....i'm sure john would have wanted them continue.....

i am deeply saddened by these events.  'The Ox' was an amazing bassist, and he will sorely be missed. The Who are one of the greatest bands ever, and Entwistle wrote many amazing songs including 'heaven and hell'(my personal favorite), 'silas stingy', 'my wife', 'boris the spider', 'cousin kevin', 'success story', 'postcard', and 'whiskey man'. I cant believe that this has happened. I am still shocked.
