TOPIC: Junior Member's Club
Posted  Thursday, January 31, 2002 at 3:05 AM
Post 1 of 31
I would like to announce the beginning of the Features Junior Member's Club. Mr. Brianeno2 and myself are the founding members and will be accepting applications for membership. We will also be sending out a newsletter. Does this mean we are the biggest Features fans. Surely not. It must mean that we are bored and pathetic enough to post so many times that we are now preferred customers.

well if you know rory and if rory wastes time worrying about me, then i guess you know everything. and if you know rory, then you know he personally told me the posts were of no matter to him. so if you want to make this message board a brian eno fan club, that's great. otherwise, i consider the matter closed.

I like positivity as much as the next guy, but don't we want a community here where people are allowed to freely and honestly speak their minds?  If someone has a problem with something, should they not be able to voice that problem here?  If not here, then where?  Mr. Eno2 is obviously a huge fan; he's not someone who's just here to talk shit and piss people off.  Even if I don't always agree with him, I welcome his opinions, and fear any scenario that would censor what he has to say.

JamieCarroll, you don't really care, you are just replying to everything, desparately trying to make it to your 50th post. Neuboy is a junior member and you're not and it's just killing you.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Keith, I am so pleased that my much maligned 50th post could be used to politely reply, 'No, that's not true at all.'

Thanks Jamie. Let's theorize for a minute. You would fear a scenario where say an account was cancelled and posts were removed, let's call it 'brianeno', because orders came from an individual to delete it because the person dared to criticize someone, let's call them 'management'?

Well in my critical opinion, that would be the saddest decision that someone could make. 'Oh, no one can be critical! Let's censor!'

the message board was up (but very hidden) before the site ever opened. only three or four people giving it a beta run. i haven't thought another thing about it.

matt told me whomever reaches 200 posts first will receive an advanced copy of the album with promo pictures of the band half-naked (you listening mike?). that's why i make lots of posts. that and what NEU!boy said, but mostly those pictures.
