Verde should play more often. What's the deal?

And yes, I know that you just played at the Slow Bar.

Sorry to both of you. To make up for it, I am having Verde play two shows in June at your favorite club, The Red Rose.

Saturday June 6th with one of my favorite bands Slack

and

Sunday June 15th with Of Montreal.

Also, that link to the Red Rose will take you directly to something Features related, so this post isn't 100% self-serving.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

That is excellent news on all fronts Keith. Two Verde shows and a cool picture of Pelham - you have gone above and beyond the call of duty. You are to be commended.

I still haven't seen Slack, but I know that a few of you like them. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I don't know. "Like" is a strong word.

Seriously, though, go see these guys at the Red Rose while you can still see them in small venues.

Of Montreal and Verde, this should be an excellent show. I hope I can make it.

I remember my friend and I were going to see The Features at Bongo Johnny's a couple years ago. While we were walking up to the club, various members of Feable Weiner informed us that the show was cancelled, but Slack was playing at Sebastian's that night. My friend Tracy abruptly said, "Slack fucking sucks", which started a short discussion between her and FW about why she thought Slack sucked. I don't think they "fucking suck", but I wouldnt particularly care to see them again. There's no real point to that story, it is just I'd forgotten all about that night. If anyone is interested, I can tell more stories about people saying Slack sucked.

Also, I'm there for Of Montreal. I remember seeing them in a slight drizzle outside of the Red Rose in a show The Features closed. Enjoyable band.

I always get Jack and Slack mixed up. I saw Jack on my first date with Token many moons ago, and I hope to see them again eventually. I don't remember how they sound, but I think I liked it.

You're probably being sarcastic, but in reality, he might just.

I know someone who is in a fairly high-profile local band. For an especially high-profile show, he was going to make a shirt that said "FUCK RYAN ADAMS" and wear it onstage, just because he was so sure that R.A. would find out about it and in turn dis this person's band by name in some national music publication. Any publicity is good publicity was his motto. But none of this ever happened...
