What is with the current trend of graduating early in high school? When I worked at the movie theater it was all everyone talked about. Back in my day (you know, class of '02) no one graduated early or even contemplated it. Has the high school system changed to where summer classes are more readily available and not stigmatized as being for those who failed during the school year? Or has graduating early been the hip thing for a while now and it's just gotten to Murfreesboro?

But hey, getting out of high school early is way cool.

thank you!

by getting high school credits for certain courses in middle school, you can get a little ahead. i realized that i could take a course in night school and another in summer school and be out a year early. this way, its a month of bullshit, rather than a whole year.

i'm starting at mtsu in the fall, and im hoping to transfer to scad after i get all of my general education credits.

i've also noticed this graduating early trend.

For many people, the Senior year is a huge anti-climax anyway. I can tell you're not sad to be leaving. I'm also glad to hear that you're not taking a year off.

Hooray for you!

That's incredible.

I went with my sister to take a tour of SCAD and it seemed really amazing. I'm sure you'll love it.

Again, congrats.

I echo their congrats and wish you the best. Very impressive. Stay in college at least 4 years though, or else you'll be starting work at, like, 20. And that would just suck.

Way to go, Rachel! And welcome back!!!

Getting high school credits in middle school is awesome, but getting college credits in high school is awesomer (and cheaper). Do you think the trend of early graduation will cut down on that?

SCAD is really cool. While you're there search for the art shop called A.T. Huns. (for Atilla the Hun) It's really cool and really supports SCAD students.

i'm not really sure what you mean. i think you can take as many AP courses as you would like during high school, early graduate or not.

and she would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you peaceful frogs!

i think what carl was asking about concerning the AP college credit classes is this: most kids at my school (including me) took their AP college credit courses their senior year. when students graduate early, they don't have a senior year. they wouldn't be taking these AP credit classes.

but apparently you can take the AP tests earlier than your senior year then? i didn't know that.

kudos to you. i'm still jeal-ous.

A lot of people graduate early so they can enroll early and participate in spring practice for college football. It's all about the playing time.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

my sister went into highschool with 3 or 4 highschool credits (she's just finished her freshman year) and i just recently found out that she was exempt from all of her finals. she took her algebra 2 because her teacher said it would bump her gpa up a notch to a 4.0 she's planning on becoming an engineer.

she's also happens to be the dumbest, most immature 15 year old i have ever known.

I like your signature, Flat Chop To The Throat. The Court Jester is my favorite Danny Kaye movie.
