Has anyone seen my copies of....

T.Rex - The Ultimate Collection
The Clash - The Clash

They've been missing for a while. It hurts my feelings.
That's so NA.

It just pisses me off. No one I know would borrow them, and they're not in my stereo, car, or CD case. That's like, 30 bucks and tons of great music gone. I hate losing something I love.
That's so NA.

i know of a few things that disappeared from my collection over the past few years:

radiohead-ok computer (i think someone nabbed this from me back when my old roommate used to have traveling bands sleep at our house)
beulah-when your heartstrings break (i just got to re-buy because they finally reissued it)
rachels-selenography

If I had all the CD's back that were stolen from me I would need a 2nd house...

When I lived in the apartment with Sam and Andrew on Belmont Blvd, I made the mistake of keeping my CDs out in the living room so we all could have access to them. I didn't think about the 4-10 stoppersby per night having access to them too. Off the top of my head, I know that my Lauryn Hill CD got stolen that year, as well as Summerteeth, the Blur self-titled album, two different Beastie Boys CDs, and Highway 61. And I know there were more than that.

Also that year, I let a neighbor (who was such a nice guy, I thought) borrow every Pearl Jam CD that I owned (including the albums, multiple CD singles, and two bootlegs). The guy had a bad accident (a whole other story), moved away and wouldn't return my phone calls.

Nothing stings more than having to re-purchase something that you already bought before.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I got my car broken into a little over a year ago and lost my features compilation CD, my nice import copy of Sgt. Pepper, my Beatles One album, and Self's Gizmodgery (I think I'm spelling that right). It sucked. Replacing Gizmodgery was expensive. There aren't too many copies around anymore.

I hate losing CDs, buying them again, and then finding the one you thought you lost. I now have two copies of "Dandy Warhols Come Down" because of this. And just a month ago, I thought I lost one of these at MTSU's radio station, only to realize that I misplaced it in Sadie's CD case. That is one problematic CD.

$300 worth of DVDs were stolen from my bedroom a few weeks ago, due to some crazy circumstances and a long story that I don't want to go into. It sucked, but they didn't take any of my arts/indy dvds, only mainstream stuff. They did, however, get my Godfather box and my Simpsons box sets, and thus I will have to kill this person should they ever reveal themself to me.

I lost a Smashing Pumpkins bootleg a few years back. It fell out of my CD case. As I was making a last look in my car to make sure I wasn't leaving anything in it before I traded it (a year and a half later), I found it wedged deep deep down between the seats.

I can't even remember how many things have been stolen out of my collection.

Our apartment maintenence guy stole our DVD player and all my DVDs (my purse too) the week after I finally paid off my stupid Columbia House membership.

I've also lost my Belle & Sebastian 3cd box set, disc 1 of my New Order double cd set, my Prince Black Album & disc 1 of Hits & B sides double set. Some jackass also stole my Aeroplane Flies High Smashing Pumpkins box set still in the plastic along with my Zero long sleeved tshirt that Billy Corgan gave to me. Motherfu#$%!!!

Not to mention the Army Of Darkness VHS tape.

I hate people.

I am a dear apostrophe waitress, I think.

I don't think they were stolen...the cool kids I know already have them, and the uncool kids I know wouldn't care.

Poohbear, I pity you. I have both of those sets, and I don't know what I would do if they were to turn up missing, or worse, stolen.

I like The Clash. I actually did go through my CD's recently and make a "suck" pile. I plan to either sell them, or use them for some kind of mobile. Art is fun!

Sell them to Hastings. That's what I've done. Because of that, I've only spent $20 on 3 new CDs.

go look up the word pessimist and then get back to me, k?!

i'm sure it's fun agreeing with everyone and being unrealistic, but you should try not being a puppet one day. it's fun when you get to have your own opinions and thoughts. and i'm sure that hand up your ass hurts after a while.

Defensive are we? That comment wasn't directed at you, but if you have a guilty conscience...
I would appreciate it if you would get to know me a little better first before you jump down my throat with your hasty assumptions.
I really don't like to have enemies, especially when they are features fans because we all have at least one thing in common.

And by the way, my asshole is an exit only, thank you.

well you might as well tell us who that comment was directed toward to just to clear things up. and you've been on this message board long enough to know that i don't get defensive, insults just happen to roll off my tongue like a warm "hello."
