What's even worse is that there is actually stuff to be talking about now.

Really? Like what? I guess I've fallen out of touch since the board's been so quiet.

Speculation for the new album, new demos, March Madness is also just around the corner (assuming JC makes a much welcomed reappearance here). With all the people on here who have the inside track, I'm sure somone could find something to talk about.

I think the tragic fall of NashvilleZine may potentially bring some folks back to this messageboard. I definitely think it had a hand in drawing folks away from here 2-3 years ago.

I always assumed it was because The Features were no longer their nice little secret, and the MB was no longer a place of witty music snobs.

And I'm not bashing anyone or anything... I actually miss the way it was.

I think this board boomed for a while because it was the only convenient online forum to discuss the Nashville music scene. The Features were playing mostly in and around town, and so they were sharing the stage with all the big-name local acts. People came here to discuss all that.

The Zine came along and took that away from the board, and then the Features started playing elsewhere more often. Because it's more of a rare thing for them to play in town, they're not playing with all of the buzz bands all the time.

I'm surprised to hear that Nashville Zine is dead. That place was booming! Do you think someone else will pick it back up?

I liked my cynical, jaded response better... although you're probably right.
