I know there's a lot of Weezer enthusiasts on this board, so I thought I'd pass this info along:

Matt Sharp, of former weezer and Rentals fame, returns to the stage for an
intimate solo acoustic performance. During his self-imposed isolation at
the small countryside town, Leipers Fork, in Tennessee, he wrote and recorded an earnest and moving debut solo record. The self-titled album (expected out in early 2003) is a collection of sparse, contemplative acoustic songs, and the concert will reflect that mood.
The show will feature a preview of songs from the new album, as well as
acoustic versions of songs from his work with the Rentals.
Gone are the new-wave moogs, the female vocals and the wall of guitars, for which he is most known for. The show at Blue Sky Court will be a stripped down and direct affair.. moody, deeply personal and sparse. Joining Matt onstage will be special guest, Greg Brown, formerly of Cake.

Show Time: 8:00 pm
Ticket Price: $10.00 advance/$12.00 at the doors

Has anyone ever actually been to Leiper's Fork???

It's more out there than Sparta!
I'm surprised he had enough electricity to record anything.

I'd go to the show solely to see Greg Brown.

I love Leiper's Fork. I once recorded out there in a former band. It certainly is...out there.

I will surely be at this show.

Greg Brown is one of my favorite guitarists.

Thanks, Smee!

Leiper's Fork is a magical place, filled with bluegrass music, moonshine, and mile-long country-cookin' buffets.

If that's a Monday, it might be hard for YDDD to make this one.

leiper's fork is a very magical place, indeed. there's always a good time to be had. eating, drinking, eating, pickin', eating, grinnin', eating...you get the idea.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.
