Please post a reply if you can help on the size of the Mercy Lounge verus say, 3rd and Lindsey or Exit/In. I lived in Nashville about 10 years ago, actually I had lived there before, anyone remember The Violent Femmes at Cantrell's, why did they play there????

I am coming from out of town should I get advance tickets, I may have several people with me, I am thinking about 6 or so, or can we get tickets at the door? We have been at the Exit/In when it sold out and were glad we had tickets, I am curious as to the size of the place.

Please reply, I am thinking since it is a Saturday, I should get tickets.

Best to you all,
Happy Birthday Roger, Uncle Dale said to tell you so,
M

Thanks everyone!

p.s. Shout out to Mindy!

Mercy Lounge is a decent sized venue. It's not very wide, but it's very long. I think it compares pretty well to Exit/In.

I guess it's comparable in size to Exit/In. Unfortunately, they're notorious for their obstructed views and cluttered table/couch arrangement. The couches are stage-right and set on a riser, which is cool if you like to be lame and sit down for a rock show, but it takes up a lot of space. People are never sure whether or not it's okay to stand in front of the sitting folks. The same could be said of the tables stage-left (except for the riser thing).

I would expect this to be a big draw, but I don't think The Features have sold out their last couple of Exit/In shows, so you might be able to gamble with it. If I were coming from a long distance, though, I'd pay the extra cople of bucks to ensure I'd get in.

Thanks for the replies, the money is not the biggest issue, The Features are certainly worth a couple of extra dollars. I just need to get commitments from my friends. I do need to go ahead and get my tickets just to be sure.

Thanks again.

i saw the eels on their electro shock tour and chairs made the show a trillion times better than it would have if people were standing up, im thinkin.

I'm just happy that I'm getting in for free. The Mercy Lounge is slightly smaller than the Exit/In. It has a tendancy to have shitty sound, but not always. I've never had a problem with anyone who works there, but there seems to be several reported incidents of tab inflation, so if you want to drink, you may want to pay as you go.

I advise everyone to come to the Mercy Lounge on Monday and get a feel for the place. While you're there, you can check out The Mattoid, Jetpack, Girls and Boys, Hail To The Keith, The Carter Administration, Hands Down Eugene, DJ Kidsmeal, and a very special surprise. And it's free! Plug.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.
