TOPIC: Merry Christmas

Post 1 of 23
It's almost the 25th here in Eastern time, so I just wanted to be the first to wish everyone on the board a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kickin Kwanzaa, Rockin Ramadaan, and a Happy New Year.

I sure have wasted away plenty of hours on this message board this year and I hope to do the same in 2003!

Thanks to The Features for making it all possible!

I hope everyone gets all the presents they want and learns the true meaning of Christmas, just like in the movies.

Thanks. Right back atcha.

My X-Mas is officially over. I did the gift thing today with the folks (I got a wallet and Lord of the Rings Director's Cut DVD). I spent most of the day 1) Frying a turkey with my dad 2) Convincing my dad that, while not cost effective, frying a turkey is fun 3) Figuring out how to program the "universal" remote I bought to go along with the new home theater I bought him for his birthday last week and 4) Convincing him that this new home theater and universal remote are actually useful.

Back to work for me tomorrow...

Ah yes indeed, Merry Christmas etc. As of now it is snowing in the Boro and I can only hope that there is a semi-white Christmas in the morning. Our family's Christmas eve is usually uneventful. We watched both Home Alone and Miracle on 34th Street like usual. But this has indeed been a grand year and I am very glad to have

A. Finished High School on such a high note and maintained friendships with all the people who were important to me during those four years and...

B. Entered college with all the dignity and grace that I could muster...for a spaz. I've made some great new amigos and it's all because of the Features. I hope that Matt, Rollum, Roger and Parrish are having a great Christmas and I hope that everyone on this great board is too.

This means I'm going to have to change my avatar...oh well...Merry Christmas to all and to all a good nite! biggrin.gif

Yes, Merry Christmas to everyone. I'm just here at my parents' house out in the 'vue, watching The Graduate, soon to hit the sack.

It was a good Christmas eve - dinner with family, then watched a Peanuts Christmas DVD, then went out for a drive to look at Christmas lights (a Christmas Eve tradition), and now here I am. Tomorrow will be fun, too.

Merry Christmas, ya'll...

Merry Christmas to all of you, as well. It's now 1:15 Eastern Time, so for all of you in Middle TN, it's Christmas for you as well. I hope that Santa is very kind to all of you. Do any of you come up with those New Years Resolutions? In my case, I used to make them. They were always inevitably broken by the second week, probably because the so-called resolutions were things I didn't feel very deeply about. Anyway, if I DO decide to make one this year, I will be sure to let you all know about it (as if any of you are interested).
This year I managed to discover The Features and in turn, a lot of great people. I can't say that I haven't enjoyed the company of everyone I have met from this board, and that says a lot.
I also moved apartments and eliminated one not-so-great roommate, while keeping a pretty good one.
I have also driven A LOT, as many of you know. Not just for The Features, but for visits to Tom Foolery as well as a visit with my roommate back in May.
I must say that this year has been one of events for me, but all of them (I am blessed to say) have been good or have at least turned out for the better in the end.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the great Features' Friends that I have made this year.

yes, happy christmas to all. sandy claws brought me an orange kitten and a fancy bottle opener. I named the cat Anakin (yes, like skywalker bc I'm a dork) but I didn't name the bottle opener bc my alcoholism hasn't reached that point yet. I hope everyone has a great day and a kick ass new year as well.
thank you for being a friend.

Yeah, it's officially not Christmas anymore, but... Merry Christmas, everybody. Aside from the school part, I have had a wonderful and Features-filled year and have enjoyed it with new friends and my family. And, most importantly (haha), I got what I wanted for Christmas...a Blythe doll and "big eye girl" stuff, among other things.

I hope Matt, Rollum, Parrish, Roger, and all of you message board members had a wonderful Christmas.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

Yep. hope everyone is sitting around and smiling as much as possible this week. To add to the cultural milieu, Happy Kwanzaa! Today is the day of Unity, which is a good thing to celebrate in my book.

My Christmas was very nice & relaxing & of course something odd and Features-related happened. My favorite gift was a hand-me-down turntable (to replace mine that I gave away to move to South Dakota) from my uncle, who also threw in some LPs from Goodwill. One of these was an exercise record by Richard Simmons. Being the dork that I am, I was looking at the credits for his back up band & found that his drummer was none other than the illustrious Features producer/ progenitor of smee, Craig Krampf!!! The world seems so teeny tiny sometimes. I wonder if smee got to play with Richard when she was a tot...

Oh ha ha ha! If you look closely, you can see my picture on that album cover too. Check for a little girl with pigtails towards the bottom (I think my t-shirt is black), and that's me. My mom's arm is also somewhere on the cover (she was pregnant with my younger sis at the time) and half my older sister's face is on there too. So essentially, the whole fam is represented on the Richard Simmons' album cover for "Reach."
My 15 minutes of fame?

Hope everybody had a great Christmas...I'm at work today & amazed at how quickly the holidays came and went.

You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

Oh my god, that makes it so much more hilarious & valuable! I think that the black T shirt you're wearing says "The Richard Simmons", which is funny because it looks like a Tshirt for some band. You're so cute! (not that it's surprised). I know exliontamer is totally jealous that I have this...although he probably already has it himself. You failed to mention that you're the ONLY person in the crowd looking at the camera- maybe some freaky symbolism a la McCartney being barefoot on the cover of Abbey Road?

yes, the freakish symbolism is that i will be condemned to a life of non-exercise and inactivity.
i can autograph it for you next time you're in town.
