Everyone give it up for another one of my random topics. I went out to eat with my dad tonight (he's 53) and he had an earring. It didn't really bother me at all, just really weird. It was kind of like seeing Harrison Ford with an earring. You know, you kind of accept it b/c it IS Harrison Ford, but still there is a lot of weirdness going on. Anyone else have parents who do weird things...and alcohol can be involved, that's what dad said helped him out.

today i caught my dad pouring chocolate whipped cream straight into his mouth. "its just like chocolate mousse!"

he also wears t-shirts featuring the ramones, the clash, and fat albert and the junkyard gang.

I went home this weekend, and got to see my dad. He watched Headbanger's Ball, and is also taking my little sisters to Ozzfest this year. Bob sure loves the metal.

My grandad on his 70th birthday went to the barber and asked for his ears to be done.

"What, you mean you want your ear hair trimming?"

"No, I want my ears pierced"


He has a diamond stud in there now

My dad's wardrobe just keeps getting stranger and stranger as he gets older. He now wears really loud shirts (tropical prints, huge bold stripes, etc.) with shorts, sandals, and SOCKS. I thought it was bad enough when his ties did not go with his shirts.

Oh well, I love him anyway. Plus, I guess you can do whatever the hell you want when you're 62.

fathers are a scary breed. some are intimidating, but have a big heart.

some are tactless but don't even know it. and most are very sensitive but won't ever show it.
