I doubt any of you, besides a few utk arch students, remember or knew Mr. Little Jeans (Erik Streufert), but he died suddently on October 12. He posted but rarely, but as I was searching through all my old e-mails from him, it occurred to me to re-read all of his posts on here. He was a huge Features fan and one of my closest and dearest friends. He was an Architecture student at UTK...a really talented guy with so much potential. Some of my fondest memories are meeting up with him (me coming from Athens, GA) to see Features shows together...except for the time we got turned away in Chattanooga (damn Lamar's). He had so much fun at the concerts, and being a quiet and reserved guy, that is saying a lot. Anyway, the Features will always be extra special to me because everytime I listen to them, I'll think of Erik. I miss him already.
Why would you do that?

erik was in my studio last semester, and right next door to my studio this semester. he and i chatted occasionally but briefly about the features, because we always found eachother at knoxville and chattanooga shows. he was quiet, but he had a head on his shoulders, impeccable taste in music, and a killer eye for architectural design. we were all devastated when we heard the news, and when i walked by his desk the other day, someone had written "we will all miss you, erik" on the back of it. i wish i knew him better. my heart goes out to his friends and family.
