TOPIC: Name the baby!

Ok, we are at a serious standstill for a middle name for our yet, unborn boy. Lets hear some suggestions. His first name is Drake, last name is Denning. The only condition is no "J" names. We aren't found of anyone calling him DJ. All Romoray jokes will be ignored.

Some things we are looking at:

Emmerson (as in Ralph Waldo or Fittipaldi
Ayrton (as in Senna)
Maxwell, Maximus, Maximillian
Atticus
Von (as in DVD for initials and the fact that I had to leave the Von Bondies on false labor)
Enzo

Of course, all names will be cleared by Meeks....
Go!

i love atticus, but it doesnt flow well with drake.
von is a really great middle name, but it sounds like its apart of denning (almost like drake mcdenning).
aryton isnt my favorite, but it sounds the best out of all of them
they are all pretty cool names.
i will dig a tunnel from my window to yours.

Ah yes, I love The Drake! Don't we all love The Drake? Emmerson would be my choice as well.

Emmerson (as in Ralph Waldo or Fittipaldi?
Do you mean Emmerson as in (Boyce, the english soccer player) or Emerson (as in Ralph Waldo or Fittipaldi)?
I am a horse with no name.

I have a soft spot for Italian names...I would avoid anything that made his initials DAD, DED, or DUD. At least DED and DUD. DND might be bad, or good...DVD would be appropriate for your profession. I like Von because of the significance, but I agree it sounds like von Denning. Good luck! I can't wait to hear what you pick!

isn't von just a prefix for a name? the name version is spelled "vaughn," which I always thought was a weird name.

otherwise i vote for "novo"

i really like vaughn.
oh and i knew a kid in elementary school named vann.
and i think ethan or evan would flow well. but that makes ded.
and i actually like max a lot, but not really maximillion, and maximus reminds me of gluteus maximus. maxwell would work.

There are no better German names that Helmut and Wolfgang. C/Karl is a good one, too, but I think Wolfie works best in this case.

Our Beetle's name is Helmut... so that would be a tough sale. I actually have lobbied Wolfgang... shot down. I'm working her on Ludwhig though... it hasn't been totally shot down. But I'd say right now Emerson has the Vegas line of 2-1 with Ayrton at 3-1. I've also been working "X" names like Xavier, because what little boy wouldn't want X as his middle initial? Hell I'd take it now.

I like Maximillian or Maxim, like Laurence Olivier's character in Rebecca. It's classy.

I truthfully do not like Emerson because it makes me think of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.

Drake Emilio Denning
Drake Alexander Denning
Drake Michael Denning

Or, a lot of people use the mom's maiden name as a middle name. That's always cool.
That's so NA.

The Mates of State named their kid Magnolia after it was suggested on their messageboard. Kinda creepy if you ask me.

By the way, they're playing the Exit/In on Nov. 3.

Sebastian is a new one and added to the list.

Mordekai is a bit to Children of the Corn for me...
Alexander and Michael are good... Michael is my middle name, and I wasn't to crazy about him having any part of my name... no offense to any "juniors" out there.

I think the middle name should be at least 3 syllabes to set off the first and last, which have one and two respectively.

How about...

Drake Octavio Denning

Yes, that's nice.

I also like Emilio, as Miss9 suggested.

Always a wise choice to be a little more patient...trust me on this one. And remember that S-E-X can help speed things along. I liked Maxwell, although he may decide to favor something else. Good luck & remember to BREATHE!
