Since The Features EP has been discontinued, would it be possible or "allowed" to offer the songs on the track listing as downloads? I've never heard Roger's Theme before. I had also never heard D-Con or Engine Debris before the site revamp, so thanks for those.
Also, with all this talk of different "sessions" (Mahaffey, Rawlings, etc.) could these ever show up on the discography page, or are they not "actual" releases? I'm also interested in knowing more about the Circus/33 1/3 single, the 3 song demo, and the Mississippi Album mentioned on Wiyum's discography page. Even if there are no downloads offered, it would still be cool to see a discography straight from the horse's mouth (though Wiyum's site does a bang up job).
Finally, are the songs on the preview player meant to be a loose indicator of the track listing for the new album, or should it just be taken as a cross section of the Features' work over the years?

I'm not sure about the Features EP. I think the band has matured from that sound so much that I don't think they are interested in distributing it in any form anymore. And different members were in the band at the time (true, same goes for the Samplers stuff). People that are new to the Features might be thrown off by the style of the EP (not that it's worlds different.. but it's definetly different enough). To my knowledge, I wouldn't bet on seeing those mp3's ever being offered.
The "sessions" stuff are just that - sessions, not releases. The Mahaffey stuff is enough for an entire album, the Rawlings stuff for a nice EP.. actually almost every session they've done would make for an EP - but only released stuff goes in the discography. I realize that the 33 1/3 CD sampler that was passed out at a handful of shows was technically "released" but I'm not into splitting hairs.. that's not a discography item. Fortunately people like Wiyum provide the hardcore information for the fans that really take their Features love to another level.
The tracks in the preview player are just a random sampling of the bands sound. Some classics, some future classics, and some oldies but goodies. It is not meant to reflect a future album tracklisting in any way.
Tom Foolery: The Random Thoughts section will (supposedly) just be a log for the band to use to post whatever they see fit. I suspect Rollum will post the majority of stuff with Roger coming in second. I'm not sure Matt has much spare time to post and I really don't even know if Parrish comes online. The server software is all setup for them to post, just waiting for one of them to do it.
