TOPIC: Oasis at the Tabernacle

So I saw Oasis' US tour dates today, and noticed that they are playing at the Tabernacle in Atlanta on August 5. I just saw B&S there, and let me tell you, the Tabernacle is one of the coolest venues I've ever been to. It seems kind of small for Oasis. I've stated my current position on Oasis on more than one occasion on this message board, but I've decided that I'm going to this show. I was too big a fan in the past not to go, plus, like I said, the room is amazing. Tickets go on sale May 31.

Yes, it should be an excellent show... From what I understand Jay Darlington (former keyboardist-madman for Kula Shaker) has joined the ranks of Oasis, at least for touring purposes. That alone is enough to make me want to go... the man is an absolute master of the Hammond.

Wow! Now that's a step in the right direction for that band. I would love to see what Darlington could do to Oasis songs.

they have a lot of songs on their new album with piano and keyboard parts, so yes, he will be a welcome addition (even though their last keyboardist, zeb i think was his name, was quite capable. however, he won't really be given a chance to cut loose or anything- it's not oasis' thing.

i'm pissed that i don't have much of a chance to see them again. they're great live.

of course they haven't broken up. that's just silly. i don't think oasis can ever break up. they've had so many near breakups that they're invincible by now.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.
