Rock band Oasis was forced to postpone a gig after frontman Liam Gallagher and fellow members of the group were arrested following a brawl.

Singer Gallagher broke several of his teeth and sustained facial injuries after the band was set upon by youths in Munich, Germany, in an unprovoked attack over the weekend, the band's official web site claimed.

The notorious rock star and other fellow band members who were arrested were released without charge.

But the group was forced to pull out of its show in Munich due to Liam's injuries.

"Several members of Oasis and their entourage were the victims of an unprovoked attack by a group of youths in a Munich club last night, where they were during their European tour.

"Liam Gallagher sustained facial injuries, including several broken teeth, while two of the group's security guards were forced to seek hospital treatment, one after being knocked unconscious.

"The attackers left the scene before police arrived.

"The police took several of the Oasis group, including Liam, to the local station for questioning in relation to the incident. Police enquiries continue.

"Meanwhile, all those arrested including Liam have been released.

Oasis kicked off their European leg of their world tour tour in November and are due to play in the UK in December.

I hope this won't garble his speech. Such injuries can make a person's words hard to understand.

Fortunately, drummer Alan White made it out of the brawl without a scratch.....it's too bad about Liam's teeth.

Phew, I'm glad Alan is okay. Just another notch in the long line of Oasis-incidents. Maybe this will cause Noel to have sympathy for Liam and he'll resume communication with him....or not.

It's been a while sense I heard anything about Oasis. Man, that sucks about Liam's teeth.

well, i guess i should post the more recent reports...

As soon as the police arrived, they tried to arrest Liam, who was obvious quite drunk at the time. During Liam's arrest, he attacked a policeman. Liam was brought to the police station and had to stay in jail for the rest of the night and the sundaymorning. At sunday afternoon, he was released. He also received dental treatment and his 2 lost teeth are replaced...

apparently the attackers were italian. i guess Liam and crew were getting a little rowdy and he got pushed into the table at which said italians were seated. from what i've read, it was a proper bar fight, with chairs and ashtrays being used as clubs. liam got hit with an ashtray stand, but kept fighting with blood running out of his mouth. the police said of liam, "The boy didn't look good. Several of his teeth were punched out."

ha ha. this was bound to happen sooner or later. it's almost a miracle he's not dead yet.

hmmm... it seems liam had to fly back to england because his broken teeth were more serious than once thought... that's the worst thought- having your teeth broken... ewwwww!

yeah, in fourth grade I got in a bike accident and smashed my face into the handlebars. One of my top front teeth shattered, now it is fake from the root down (how ya gonna kick it?). I later had to have a root canal on the same tooth. An abscess tooth is the worst pain I've ever had, way worse than having the thing busted out, worse than broken wrists too. I hate dental problems.

i might also mention that the people responsible for beating liam are suspected of being italian gangsters involved in smuggling prostitutes from eastern europe... no wonder they were so violent.

i also heard that liam started swinging a wooden ashtray (one of the very large kind) over his head, trying to massacre the italians....

I imagine that Oasis wont be touring Germany for a few years after what happened....man, this has been one really fucked up year for oasis and brit-pop in general. first the drummer from travis almost dies in a pool accident, then oasis get in a car-crash, then it takes over a year for "we love life" by pulp to get released in the US, then graham leaves blur, now liam gets the shit kicked out of him by italian prostitute smugglers......i wonder what will happen next....will one of the remaining manic street preachers kill himself? i shudder to think of what will happen next.......

actually... according to the singer from the band that was playing in the club (a soul band, no less), liam actually took the mic stand and swung it. he threw at some of the italians in the fight as well. also, it seems alan white (oasis' drummer) did get hurt, as he was seen in a headlock, being punched in the face repeatedly...

Maybe the missing Preacher will return...that would be pretty weird.

That proves noone can escape total chaos.
