i might try to talk someone into taking me. this better be good. i dont wanna make someone drive an hour for a mediocre band and look like an ass. from your reviews though i really doubt that will happen.

I will probably be cleaning popcorn and piecing together my psyche after spending 8 hours convincing everyone to "Go with the large, it's the best value!!!". I may swing by and see what is up if I'm not dead.

Didn't the Great Lakes open for Belle & Sebastian in Atlanta? They were pretty good.

i am going to try my hardest to be at this show. being father's day, and the fact that serai's parents rarely eat dinner before 9:00pm. they say it is a west coast thing. i think they should have left it back west.

The bands were great, but the sound was terrible. You couldn't hear a word they sang. It was fun to see some friends from the message board.

Oh wait. I wasn't there, but I just know what they will say. The first item is why I am glad I stayed home. The second was the main reason I would've gone. That, and Verde rocks, of course.

I thought it was a good show. Verde and Of Montreal were good. I didn't like Great Lakes. And what was going on with half of Of Montreal being in Great Lakes? That was just weird.
So I'm Hooking up with David Dewese David Dewese, double D Hooking up with DD DD, don't make me say please again oh no again oh no

I was cleaning off the counters at Wynnsong 16 during Verde's set, unfortunately, but I heard that they were very good, which doesn't surprise me since I enjoyed them last time I saw them. Great Lakes was nice, and Of Montreal was pretty darn amazing. Rapping, theater, dancing, it was very very nice.

Too bad my terminally ill friend Damon didn't get his request...

I enjoyed all of the bands. Verde was really good and had some great bass lines... there was a bit of feedback, though that can be overlooked... Great Lakes was good, not really my kind of music, but definitely great road tripping music... and Of Montreal was very good, interesting and comedic. Songs about necrophilia are always good in my opinion. I very much enjoyed myself, especially seeing IWE going lustful over Of Montreal's singer... ph34r.gif

I thought the sound for Verde was quite a bit better than it was at last week's show (w/Slack). The sound at the Red Rose still sucks, but Verde was awesome and everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

I personally really enjoyed Great Lakes. Was that "country" song they did a cover? (Something about San Anton' and Arizona.) I especially liked that one.

I didn't stick around for too much of Of Montreal. I was tired and bored by that point.

Great show! I enjoyed all three bands greatly. Glad I could entertain you DS257. It wasn't lust though, I just appreciate sass. Not only did he change between sets, but the second outfit was amazing! Very sassy indeed smile.gif

If he had been a black woman with a weave, he could have passed for a member of Destiny's Child. But still full of sass...

Nice to meet those of you I haven't met before. I still don't know who the hell you are, JustAnotherDrive, but oh well. I pretty much missed Great Lakes. I thought Of Montreal was really good, but I would have liked them more if they cut out about 20 minutes of their set. They were real nice guys too.

I'm sorry to report that I don't have a copy for you, foldsfan. However, Sinasugarsick has an extra copy. Does the thong offer still stand?

I do have a copy for uglyapeman-- for the right price.

I would like to apologize to everyone that these posts don't concern. Some people haven't mastered the art of PMing.
