TOPIC: Party of Five, Season One

OK, I just want to give a big public "thank you" to Keith for giving me the heads-up that the first season of Party of Five had been released on DVD.

It arrived in the mail from Amazon.com middle of last week, and I just happened to be sick and home from work (seriously!). So for the past few days, I have been transported back to 1994-95, thoroughly engulfed in the world of the Salingers. I just finished the 22nd and final episode, and can I just say that watching this wonderful show again has just brought me so much joy and happiness. It has literally been like being reunited with old friends for a few days. And what's more, I've learned alot of new things about my old friends, because I had never seen much of the first season until now.

I'm so stoked for season two (released this November!) and the introduction of Sarah. Only next time around, I think I might pace myself a little bit and not watch all 20+ hours in a three day time span. I could even watch one episode a week - like say maybe every Wednesday at 8:00? It could be like Po5 was back on the air. (sigh)
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I'm glad that someone else gets as much joy out of TV on DVD as I do. Over Christmas break, I managed to watch about 14 or so episodes of Alias in a day. That's the way to do it, marathon-style.

damn, well i am thinking about getting the first season of 24 (you know, when it was engaging, and one hell of a show to be frank) and watch it from start to finish for an entire day.
Sometime's I'm thinking that I love you, but I know it's only lust.

I think the best way to thank Keith would be to let him borrow the DVDs for a few weeks. biggrin.gif

I feel ya, JC. I'll be getting the first season of the Dukes of Hazzard when I get paid on Thursday. It'll be like going back to my living room floor on Saturday afternoons as a four year old. Only this time, I won't have to wait for the Lone Ranger to end, nor will I get to see the cool Old Milwaukee and Blue Ribbon commercials that I have on tape. These DVDs should be released with the choicest of commercials aired during their run.
