Since De Novo Dahl, the band to which this message board is dedicated, is splitting up, I guess there's nothing left for us to talk about.

I noticed that on their message board today. I was VERY dissapointed to hear that some members were leaving. I tried to click on the link provided, but I couldn't find any relevant information. Anyone wanna fill me in?

So I guess we're going to start talking about ear wax and Kelly Clarkson more.

much like conservative republicans, they came up with a 'no gays' policy.

very soon after, they realized that they had just agreed to dissolve the band.

How about eye drops. I've been struggling to figure out which brand of eye drops will lubricate my eyes properly. So far Clear Eyes works best for me.

I'm not down with drops of any kind. Eye and ear? Those are not good to me. Especially ear drops because you have to keep your head all sideways while it seeps in. That sucks.

I haven't rocked eye drops in a while.

i love ear drops. they remind me of camp. i love how they are so cold in the ear and how we'd awkwardly continue conversation with our heads tilted. the best part, though, is when its time to flip your head back over and it all runs out.
lets hear it for ear drops.

The original post on their message board was a link to the front page of NashvilleZine, where the information was first posted. The specific story can be found here. Good ol' Zine also put a link to an All the Rage snippet that confirms the news.

I hate ear drops. And eye drops. Drops suck. But then again, I didn't like summer camp either.

You know what else I hate? Plastic paperclips. And wearing band-aids. And holiday season radio commericals. And quiche.

Here's what I like lately: exotic and/or expensive cheeses, BlackBerrys, parking in a garage as opposed to outside, smooth jazz, the lights of West End twinkling at night, the White Album, and young children.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

The only thing plastic paperclips are good for is unbending and using one end to clean out your ears. BIC pen lids do the job well too.

By the way, smooth jazz blows chunks. Cool Jazz on the other hand, that's good stuff. Oh, and collecting young children, that can be fun too. Just don't get caught.

i hate drops too. unfortunately, i find eye drops are a necessary after a long party night.

are you a "head-back-right-into-the-eyeball" sorta dropper, or a "hold-your-bottom-eyelid-out-and-drop" sorta dropper.

i'm fine with pulling my flesh away, but i can't see the drop coming at me.

You forgot the "tilt your head sideways and drop into the corner of your eye maneuver," which I find to be the easiest and most comfortable.

Rest in Peace, De Novo Dahl - the best band in this city in a long, long time
Last night's show was certainly bittersweet. It was great to see them play again, but I was sad knowing that I would never see them play again. I know the band isn't breaking up, but I'm sure they'll be a different band without Derek, Mark, and Dave.

Who else went last night? What were your thoughts?

I only caught the last two songs last night at Exit/In, but I got to see them tonight in Owensboro. Another excellent show, making me consider going to Atlanta for the final show under the current administration. I admit that it's tough to see such a special band forced to change a formula that works so well, but I'm still eager to see where it goes from here. I mean, let's face it...as good as they are, they haven't even debuted a new song in over two years. I'm interested to see progress and evolution at this point.
I TOTALLY AGREE!
