are Meisha and Kiki. I'm sorry but such cool names have to be shared with all. I mean, my miniature schnauzers are named Abby & Minnie (names any cutsy-er would border on sugar overdose).

I have a cat. Her name is Neo. I suppose that I also feel some ownership for the cats at my parents' house, Roger and Sheila, because I grew up with them.

I haven't cleaned my shower in so long that I consider its living breathing algae to be my little aquatic pet. Does this count? I call it Rufio.
Why would you do that?

When I left for college, my parents replaced me with a puppy. It's a Norwich terrier, weighs about 10 pounds, and is named Zeus. Well, at least he's cute.

My roommate and I don't have any pets. I don't think that we are home enough (especially on weekends) to take care of them. BUT, as TF knows, my mother has 6...yes, 6...cats.
The fun part is that we only had 2 dogs (for about a year each) when I was growing up. Then, when we moved back here from Asheville, NC, we kind of adopted two cats that pretty much came with our house. They were Sebastian and Alexander. Then, they ran away. I suppose they could have died, but I would rather not think of it that way.
Then, we were going to "petsit" two cats for one of my mom's friends while they were out of town. Well, mom got too attached, so we ended up keeping them. They are Abby and Avery. (Abby is my cat.)
After that, my mom found another cat laying on our back porch having kittens. She called the vet, b/c it seemed like she was having trouble. Then mom took her to the vet. All of her babies died, and the cat had to have surgery. So, mom paid for it, and pretty much took up that cat too. Her name is Emma.
THEN, 5 cats came wondering through the woods behind our house and into our backyard. Mom gave away one to one of my brother's friends, and one died by being hit by a stupid redneck's truck. So, now there are 3- Olivia, Zachary, and Phoebe.
There we go...6 cats. The coolest thing about them is that they are really intelligent. I always hear people talking crap about how cats are dumb..blah, blah, blah. But oh no. These cats can open cabinets with their paws, and one (Zachary) can open doors by turning the knobs. All of them understand their names, and they basically follow what you tell them to do. Anyway, yeah..6 cats at my mom's.

laugh.gif That's freaking funny! I have no pets myself, but I do believe I will get a pet when I eventually get my own apartment. I want a puppy that stays little, that way when I'm low on cash my pup will never suffer because of my poor condition of my finances. dog food can be cheap. smile.gif

I feel like the deadbeat cat owner. I have a Siamese mix named Dante who has lived with my mother since I left Nashville for South Dakota. I rescued an orange kitten (Ralph) from my ghetto neighborhood in Nashville & then gave him to my mom. My fiance and I have another Siamese mix named Hanna, but she lives at his place. And I found a semi-feral kitten (Oskar) in the Badlands who became my roommate on the res', but I gave him to a friend in Nashville when I moved in briefly with someone who's allergic to cats. So now I have no cats actually in my possession.

My fiance claims that the first time we met was when we got in trouble for arguing about cats vs. dogs while the P.E. teacher was talking. He says I was on the dog side then...I guess I've switched sides?

I just got a kitty yesterday. She is precious - black and white and fluffy. I think she is currently in trauma from being separated from her mother and 2 sisters at only 8 weeks, but hopefully she will come out of it. She is curled up under the desk, where she has huddled in fear all day. She cried all night last night. I feel so badly, yet am hoping she will come out of it!?! sad.gif

Oh, and her name is Sadie (You should like that, Sexysadie!).

awww! congrats on your new kitty, token! hopefully she will warm up to her new environment soon. when i first got my cats (wow, that was like 7 or 8 years ago) i kept them in one room for a few days. i thought that this might might make the environment switch a little easier to adjust to. and then a few days later i let them explore the whole house. it seemed to work well for me, but they weren't as young as yours is when i got them either. i hope she calms down soon. let us know how she progresses...

Her full name is Sadie Kitty Deathstrike, which Digsy should like as well. She used her adamantium claws on Token already when we drove her to her new home.

My little sister just got a puppy like 5 days ago and she's already losing intrest in it dry.gif That's why I was opposed to her having it as soon as she walked through the door with it! My second concern was it's name.. I begged her not to name it anything ghetto laugh.gif and after the first 3 ghetto names she said she finally settled on naming it Diamond.. I thought that's reasonable smile.gif

Yes, and can I assume that Kitty is for Shadowcat a.k.a Kitty Pryde?

Yeah, that's a stretch...

Sadie has adjusted. She is now eating, prancing around the apartment, and playing with everything. Last night she curled up on the couch with YDDD and me. She is so cute.

I think you should get a new kitty.

Well, seeings how I don't live at home anymore, and I won't be able to get one at school, I don't think it would be the best idea.

By the way, I've got one kitty named "Kitty". His original name was Bobby Oliver (a mesh of two Brady Bunch characters), but I always just called him "Kitty" when he was a baby and never really got out of the habit of doing so.

I also have a female Dalmation named Sam, a Lhaso-Apso named Sidney (aka: Sid or Devil Dog), and a Boston Terrier named Rosie (aka: Ro). She's my crazy girl.

Oh, and I have a fish too. . . named "Fishy" and sometimes "Pretty Fishy".

The kitty that Token and I share will mostly be called "Kitty" by me. I do this with all my pets. My last dog was "sheep dog," and before that was "puppy." When you get started, it's a hard habit to break.
