not sure if any of you ever had the pleasure, but if you like the features, possum dixon might be a band to check out. their influences seem to graze in similar pastures. they put out a couple e.p.s and three stellar albums throughout the nineties: possum dixon, star maps, and new sheets. thanks to college radio, most of you are probably aware of the song 'watch that girl destroy me.' sadly, they called it quits in 2000 or so. these guys were one of my favorite, if not very favorite, bands throughout my not-so-innocent teenage years. do yourself a favor and at least download a couple of songs.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

a few weeks ago, this opossum walked in front of the windows at my work (which shall remain nameless). i tried to give it some crackers but it ran away. poor little 'possums do not belong in shopping centers/strip malls.

Quote Phish lyrics this one does?  Quite brave indeed.  Very stong is the force with this one.  Let us hope that one of such bravery has the skills of a Jedi to defend against the most certain reaming that is to come.

On a serious note, elliot, yes I do like Phish, though I rarely listen to them any more.  I don't think that they have the best songs or make the best records or even that they are the best musicians, but I strongly admire any band who are so committed to improvisation, while retaining such pop sensibility.  I love going to a Phish show because you literally have no idea what you're in for each time, the possibilities are literally endless.
