TOPIC: Professing My Love For That Ass
Posted  Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 2:39 PM
Post 1 of 8
I've been instructed by my other, today's birthday girl etcetera, to profess my love for her before the thronging masses, that being all you folk out there in the cultural wasteland, staring at the screen from within the restrictive confines of your grey cubicle. So I'm laying it on the line right here. That's right, she bombs me. She's the napalm to my thick covering of jungle foliage, the George W. to my Cheney, the Georgia Hubley to my Ira Kaplan, in short, a worthy ally. I thwart her often with my various attempts to achieve rock star status, and she frequently concedes. She's been swell enough let me treat an arbitrary weekend as both birthday and Valentine's Day. The result? You lovely people get to enjoy a Privates cd release and De Novo Dahl/Mattoid bonanza the day before Valentine's Day. This is the kind of diplomatic stamina that our country needs right now. Say thank you everyone. I hope you enjoy this thread as much as I have. Oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just too much. Have I wished you a happy birthday, yet, Lauren? Thanks for being awesome.

Thanks everyone! It is cold and I am cowering in grateful but singled out embarrassment.

Happy Birthday to Joey Fatone, Jackson Pollock, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Alan Alda, and Elijah Wood.

The Challenger exploded on my birthday. Can't we talk about that instead? I feel singled out.
Some moron brought a cougar to a party and it went berserk.

This is only the fourth thread about your birthday. You should feel happy and loved. The rest of us have to post on here all the time in hopes of getting a quarter of the attention you're getting right now...

Did I say type out loud?
I can't grow a beard, and I don't like to party.

Man, you are lucky she loves you back- she is awesome, and I don't even know her well. She's lucky to have such an embarassingly sweet tribute, too.
Two sips from the cup of human kindness and I'm shitfaced
