what do you think of raves? I was into techno in high school, but...i don't know, they seem kind of lame to me. Any thoughts?

Yeah I don't think I could be paid to go to one. Raves exemplify my four least favorite things a) chemical stimulants b) techno music c) staying up late and d) being a "free spirit."

Some moron brought a cougar to a party and it went berserk.

i'm so far removed from the rave/techno scene it's not even funny.

ditto...i went to a rave once and it was the very epitome of tedium. i find the culture behind it seedy and the "music" troubling.

You said it best. i completely agree.

a lot of the people who attend those things are just sketchy sketchy. but they're not all bad. some of them are just nice drug doin neo hippies who have bad taste in music.

i've never understood all that. the music is too repeatitious for me.

We have about 1500 songs.....all of them good!

I love the music, but raves are scary.

Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.
