That's right. Today we salute you, Mr. 2 posts and then gone member. You post once...and you like it. You post again...and you disappear completely. Sometimes you join so you can talk shit about the Features. Sometimes you join so you can talk shit about other MB members, or defend an album you made with the Features in 1999. And sometimes your reasons for joining are a mystery to us all. So crack open an ice cold Bud Light, Mr. 2 posts and then gone member, because as you've shown us...two by two they came...and went.

People that only post a couple times then disappear are lame. Has Lawnwrangler changed his quote yet?

Hats off to these people. I wonder if they just get scared and stop? Or lose interest? I figure that the latter is much less possible, since the Features are an addiction. Anyway, I would like to give recognition to all of the members who have signed up and not posted ANYTHING as well. Good toast, jamiecarroll.

i'm assuming that they were all irrelevant anyways. they probably figured that out after their second post.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

As a member of the so-called "2 posts and gone" club, I must make a declaration. Just because I don't post some inane comment about every topic, doesn't mean I'm irrelevant or to say the least gone. I happen to log on to the Features site and the message board nearly every day, looking for new and/or interesting information about the band. Sometimes you people provide that information; sometimes it is nothing but mindless rambling. If that's your thing... fine, but don't fault me for being the guy who would rather listen than talk. By the way, don't take from this that I'm pissed. I thought the Real American Heroes idea was hilarious. Just wanted to set the record straight. Cub11... 3 Posts

Since you read this board so often, then you probably understand that we joke and/or use sarcasm on here frequently. For that reason, I am SURE that you weren't even the least bit upset by our little comments about certain members having only 2 posts. Anyway, congrats on furthering your posting status to 3.

jamiecarroll can always start interesting discussions. Thank you.

In recent days, I've learned how easy it is to get out of the habit or posting. Listening isn't a bad thing to do because face it folks, sometimes this board hits speedbumps.

Thank you, cub11, for recognizing the post as humorous in nature. I was not in any way attempting to put down anyone who has posted 2 times (or any # of times). I was just scrolling through the member directory and remembering some past episodes on this MB and thought it was a funny coincidence that quite a few of them involve people who have posted twice and never again.

Sorry if anyone out there is offended. And GO CUBS!

It was really funny, and I can't imagine anyone could truthfully be offended. I enjoyed the post, made me laugh fit to beat the bear... parts anyway.

And Hell yes GO CUBS!

"Episodes" is a good way to put it. There have been several just to show up here and really get things riled up or talking and then fade. Some posted only twice. There are some who, upon looking at their name on the member list, I think, "They only posted that many times??" It seems like khuatala and flux capacator and tragically maude and maggie mae have posted a lot more than they have. Strange....

I dont think that certain board addicts should think less of certain people who dont post as much as they do. Just because we're dorks who are addicted to the message board doesnt mean that we should be all high and mighty and look down at others. Sometimes this message board feels like a dictatorship........ Just my opinion.

wow...

i thought it was a pretty funny topic. this is a shocking turn of events. i was kidding when i said that the two-and-out posters discovered their own irrelevance. i fear this may spark the beginning of a new age on the message board... one in which i reign supreme!!!!

ok, not really. i would encourage jamiecarroll to reconsider, for the children. maybe we can work something out. i will miss your oasis knowledge.

Retirement? Who said anything about retirement? I had to go to a birthday party, and now I'm back. Sorry for the confusion.

JC can't retire. He has to make his 1,000 post on November 26, which is the message board's first anniversary. It's in his contract.

And why have we gotten so serious about everything lately? We all know we're losers because of our message board addiction. Why can't we make fun of people who aren't losers? It makes us feel better.

Finally, to Mr. Cub11, you're more relevant than any of us could ever dream.

its true, man, everyone is getting a;ll; serious. i can't even beleive that this topic has gotten this far, we're all hyped up and uber PC. i can't even believe i am succumbing to its powers and replying!! i think its because school is back in and it makes everyone bitchy.
just a thought.

I'll second that. I'm just now starting to get my groove back (insert Whitney Houston joke here). Hopefully the corny jokes and puns will lessen as I get used to actually doing schoolwork again.

And I'll go on record stating that 90% of everything I say/type is sarcasm or self-depricating and I'm very rarely serious (only when it comes to Oasis and Game Shows it seems).

I, too, have noticed the "serious" trend that is going on, but I agree with SOS's theory. Perhaps school and/or work makes everyone a little uptight. I know that it does for me.. I mean my GOD! The cost of books alone is staggering and stressful. But, I am attempting to calm down a bit and be more relaxed (as has been recommended to me by many).

Anyway, I think we are all kind of uptight (with the exception of a few). Give me a week or two, and I will be just fine. I will probably start posting more when I get back into the groove of things. That's just my personal bit about all of that.
