Ferris Bueller does indeed kick ass. But if I had to choose between the other two, I'd have to say 'American Pie'. It's just funnier.

I don't really either, but it is about teens. I think 'Ghost World''s intended audience is people in their late twenties to thirties. Maybe?
As for Jay and Silent Bob, it was the total sellout movie that was funny, but hurt Kevin Smith's integrity as an indie or otherwise film-maker as he just decided to use conventions and gimmicks rather than making a decent film. It makes all the others look worse to me.

'mallrats' & 'clerks' are the only ones i like. 'chasing amy' is corny. it's only saving grace is banky. 'dogma' just sucked. it's hardly a teen high school flick, but i really want to see 'repo man' again.

cheers to clerks and mallrats, they're my favorites too. I like them all, though. dogma and strike back have a harder time filling the shoes of their predecessors, but they still have jason lee. I'll never forget having the 60 something-alcoholic-ticket jockey tell me I was allowed to see any other movie in the theater as long as I didn't actually use my dogma ticket.

are you people crazy? 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back' kicks ass! that movie makes me laugh from start to finish - Mr. Smith is just making fun of hollywood and everything else for that matter - the more times you see it the more little humor things you catch just like all his movies - I heard his next project was a remake of 'Fletch' but with a different spin on it -

With Kevin Smith, if he was trying to write 'Strike Back' to be a spoof of Hollywood with a horrendous plot, terrible directing and cheap gimmicks (Judd Nelson is a sheriff--is that actually funny? I think not.), then the joke was on him because it perpetuates the Hollywood drivel machine more than it does anything to insult it. Yes, it's funny, in places. Unfortunately, the whole thing is just his little ego trip (Silent Bob) and anger therapy (beating up kids like me on the internet who bash his poor ability to make films).

That DVD set landed in my lap this weekend, and somehow found its way on the screen. I enjoyed it less than when I saw it in the theater. I stand by every thing I said earlier, adding that it was less funny the 2nd time, and the bonus stuff doesn't add much (save the improv session Jon Stewart does with Will Ferrell, and Ferrell isn't funny).
