TOPIC: Robert Stack dead
Posted  Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 12:31 PM
Post 1 of 18
Robert Stack, the guy who made all those stories of female abduction creepy on Unsolved Mystery, is dead at the age of 85 of heart failure. This is really sad. I used to watch Unsolved Mysteries every Sunday night (or whenever it came on). The show actually introduced me to my terror of aliens, ghosts, and big foots...feet (?). This is shocking...and pretty sad.

We also must not forget Robert Stack's other great contributions, namely his contribution to American film when he portrayed the voice of Ultra Magnus in Transformers the Movie.

The IMDB also has him credited with the following:

Joe Versus the Volcano (1990) .... Dr. Ellison [a personal favorite of mine]
Beavis and Butt-head Do America (1996) (voice) .... Agent Flemming
Caddyshack II (1988) .... Chandler Young [not as good as the original]
and
Airplane! (1980) .... Capt. Rex Kramer [that honky mofo messin' wit' mah ole lady best be runnin' cold upside his head, pretty J!]

What ever happened to MikeD? Has he been on the board lately? I just thought about it and decided that only the ghost of Robert Stack may be able to help us.

Well...if Robert Stack is involved, that means that Mike D has either been...

A. Kidnapped by his agro-male ex-lover!
B. Abducted by aliens after investigating that strange light in the backyard of his trailor!
C. Shocked into a coma after seeing the ghosts of the indians whose graveyard was demolished when his trailor moved in!
D. Mauled by Big Foot!
or...
E. Reunited with his Austrian birth mother!

Unsolved Mysteries rocked.

I chose A, though I almost went with B.

Sorry to ruin your fun, but I saw him at the Verde/Jetpack show last thursday. I believe he said he was on his way to Vegas the next day. Or maybe it was NOLA... I think JC is also involved in this vaccation in some way.

I miss them both deeply and hope they come back soon.

No, JC is in Vegas. I saw Mike last night and harassed him to post. I'm sure we'll be hearing from him soon.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

I'm back. I flew to New Orleans and stayed there for 2 days and two nights, then drove from New Orleans to Las Vegas, which took 3 days, then spent two days and two nights in Las Vegas. I had a great time, but I'm glad to be back home. I missed you guys!

Ditto. I've been trying to get in touch with lw for a couple of weeks. Now, I know. Thanks for the clarification.
