this year's inductees include: ac/dc!,the police, elvis costello!!!!, and .....the clash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i may finally be able to see the clash reunion that i have been waiting for since i was 12 years old. laugh.gif

i thought it was interesting that the sex pistols didnt get inducted this year. ii just proves the fact that the clash are 100,000 times better than the sex pistols.

and while i am relatively excited about the police being inducted, i feel that them being inducted will only inflate sting's ego even more than it already is...but that's just my opinion

Wow this is great, the Police, Elvis, the Clash, all extremely good. But what is going to happen when we hit the barren wasteland that was the 80s? Aside from REM and U2, what are the other bands to be inducted? Poison? Bon Jovi?

I have my doubts about Husker Du, but the rest probably will be. I'm sure Def Leppard, Guns and Roses, Metallica, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, and as mentioned, Bon Jovi, will be in there too. Remember, it is the Hall of Fame, not necessarily the Hall of Good.

See, this is why this whole thread is moot to me and why the whole genre is going to hell.

First of all, it has a hall of fame. How not-rock is that?
Second, they put iin a bunch of crap for the bands.

The whole enterprise has no credibility based on this, so I will not devote energy toward it.

(Yes, I know, some of those were jokingly mentioned)
