I'm a Tori fan, I saw her last year with Rufus Wainwright at the Ryman. It was awesome(long story there) But anyway I've been hearing really good things about Scarlet's walk so I indeed will check it out!

Oops...I don't know anything about Tori Amos; I'm out of my element here...except I know that "God" and "Cornflake Girl" rule, and her version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is pretty dodgy.

is "dodgy" a good thing or a bad thing?

Dodgy is (british) slang to mean "notvery good." Of course I disagree in this element, but I can't really feel that bad about disagreeing with jamie anymore because he's been talking so much smack about Pavement in the other thread.

I for one like the cover of SLTS, but I always enjoy a cover that takes a song in a totally new direction.

You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.

I liked her version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

I was once stuck in a place with very, very little access to popular music. I did, however, find a copy of Under the Pink. So I listened to it quite a bit. It still holds some happy memories for me.

choirgirl hotel is still my favorite. under the pink has been knowcked out of the number 2 spot by scarlet's walk, though.

i like her cover of SLTS if for no other reason bc it takes the song in a nbew direction. good call, will.
