Even when they sign up for a username with the one intention of promoting a show? Up until this point, this has been dd912's only post.

I like to remind everyone, though, that if you're a regular member of the board, it's OK to remind us about your band's shows. It's only people who come here just to promote that are bothersome. That used to happen all the time on the old Spongebath board, and it was super-annoying.

(shoulders shrug, he thinks otherwise, thanks me anyway)
Did anyone stick around for the other bands? I wasn't in much of a chance-giving mood, had Joe Millionare to watch, what a WASTE, they didn't show anything new, jerks, guess I shouldn't expect so much.

Yep. I take any chance I can get to see some money-hungry-slut-whores fighting over an ugly and goofy looking guy...only to find that he drives a bulldozer for a living. I think it's quality entertainment.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

I don't watch Joe Millionaire, but I have been pulled in by Celebrity Mole. It is oddly entertaining...

Of course, I have to admit that my Monday nights revolve around "Real World/Road Rules: Battle of the Sexes." Heck, I even have a Fantasy Team. I suck at it though...the week that I drop Amaya she goes all crazy and starts crying! And next week, Emily and Ayanna seem to both go crazy at Ellen! Who do I choose to put on my Fantasy Team? ohmy.gif

I haven't watched "celebrity mole" but I was really into the first "season" of the regular Mole. I really wanted that Jim fella to win.

You say that like it's a bad thing. My buddy Zach calls that show "Eat Gross Stuff Factor" because all he ever happens to see is the second challenge which almost always involves eating some uncooked part of some animal. I have to admit that I especially enjoy any stunt involving cold water biggrin.gif Hey, sex sells.

I've stopped watching FF, however, so that I can watch a much better show on Mondays at 7pm. Monster Garage!!! This show kicks ass! If you haven't seen it, basically what they do is get a team of mechanics to build real-life transformers. They've converted a Woody to a nut-collector, a limo into a fire engine, an ambulance into a funny car, etc. They have to make sure it still resembles the original vehicle and they only get a budget of $3000 and a time limit of 1 week. It's the only show I regularly watch on the Discovery channel.

I kind of like that show, but the chief mechanic is a dick! I was forced to watch it at my friend's house recently. I found myself day-dreaming about the other mechanics beating the shit out of him and throwing him in the garbage collector that they built. Side-bar: the cheif mechanic was arrested at some point (not on the show) for possession of marijuana and it wasn't a baby-stash. Good shot dopus.

My roommate and I are completely addicted to The Mole. During the second season, we would schedule work and any kind of social activity around it. On one occasion, a couple of our friends came into our apt, and they were talking. We yelled at them, told them to shut the hell up, and to get in the other room if they weren't going to be quiet until the show was over. They called us crazy and then left. smile.gif That's addiction to The Mole.
And, yes, FF always has chicks with HUGE boobs. It's funny, b/c the size of their tits aren't even proportionate to their body.

Newsradio was damn good. I contend that Joe was the best character on the cast... I thought andy dick was hilarious, but overused towards the end...

"Newsradio" features the best ensemble ever assembled for a 90s sitcom. Every single character had their shining moments of hilarity. Overall, my favorite would have to be Phil Hartman's Bill McNeil character. Phil Hartman just rocks in general. Stephen Root and Dave Foley are also tied for second...so is Andy Dick...and Joe Rogan...and Vicki Lawrence, Khandi Alexander, and Maura Tierney. Geez they were all so great.

Notice I'm leaving John Lovitz off the list. The 5th season...eh...I'm not all about that.

No not in any way. I really enjoy John Lovitz in general (The Critic ruled me at one point). It's just that John came on as a replacement after Phil Hartman's murder. He played a character that never seemed to gel with the other cast members and he really just couldn't replace Phil.

Plus, the show started to get very silly and the writing seemed to decline a tad. So not a John Lovitz diss, a Max Lewis (his character) diss, and a minor diss on the writers, and a huge diss on Phil Hartman's wife (or drug supplier, whichever should be blamed).

joe millionaire: eh, it's pretty funny, I guess. the bloke reminds me of Elaine's boyfriend (the auto salesman) on seinfeld. not the sharpest tool in the shed, is he? high five.

MTV battle of the sexes: oh yes! I luv it. they've gotten a lot of my favorites from thru the years for this show. addictive.

monster garage: very cool, too. did you see the one from last night? they somehow managed to turn a (short) school bus into a pontoon boat! unreal!

news radio: never saw it. sorry.

the mole: never saw it either.

celebrity mole: nope.

I've been addicted to Monster Garage since early fall, it's an incredible show. I had to tear myself away from the episode last night to make it to 12th and P., I can't believe they got the schoolboat to work! Jesse James is slightly cool for school and pulls an even slighter impersonation of Bob Vila by not actually working as hard as everyone else. At least he knows how to help, Bob is a jackass, he only gets in the way. Ramon! Pedro!

did you happen to catch the episode where lovitz was in the asylum with Phil Hartman? One of my favorite episodes...

Newsradio sucked after Phil died. I did watch it almost every week, but then it got really bad around the time Phil died and John Lovitz became a cast member. I'm a fan of John Lovitz, too, but the show's writing, etc. just went downhill after that.

Yes that was a great episode. I was also against John inclusion in the series because he guest starred on the series twice before as two different characters (a man about to jump off the ledge outside Dave's window and the insane asylum guy).

And Crispian, the Puddy reference is indeed respected. I love me some "Seinfeld."

i got there during the third band, i think. it sucked from the time i got there until i left. holly williams was alright for what she did, but i'm not into the music she plays so... the last band was horrible. they sounded almost exactly like incubus. aside from the singer who was constantly grabbing his own ass, we couldn't figure out if the band members were guys or girls, and if they were gay or not and what the hell they did to their hair.
she's just another ho that i met in the hood
