I love the smell of glossy paper or, to be more exact, the glossy Marvel Masterpieces and X-Men Fleer Ultra cards sets from the early 90s. Just...nice memories.

Also chocolate. Chocolate rules.

Oh yes.. hot paper right out of the copier.
And sauteed onions.
As much as I love to eat chocolate.. the smell has never really done anything for me.

Also, what are smells that you dont like?
I hate the smell of pizza when I'm full
I hate the smell of that Axe shit
I hate the smell of Patchuli
and I hate the smell of fish. I never go near the fish aisle while shopping.

No way. I'm no huffer. Lets just say I don't hold my breath at the gas station & I take my time while pasting.

I don't know. Hard to describe. Not all boys have it. It's a really warm smell. I suppose its musky? Yeah. I think its musky. C'mon girls. Back me up.

i hate the smell of dentist offices. a girl i know has a lotion that smells just like the rancid gritty toothpaste they give you at the dentist's office, and it's really strong. I've asked her repeatedly not to use it in my presence, but it never fails. We'll be driving along in my car with all the windows up and i begin to smell the dentist's office, i turn around and she's rubbing her arms in litres of that shit. so i gag on my own tongue and roll the window down. it's gross.

I also like the smell of Target. I think it's the popcorn...but with something else added in (lord knows I don't enjoy the smell of popcorn anymore).

I absolutely hate the smell of cigarettes. That is my number one and since I'm allergic to it, it makes sense. It's just disgusting and manages to offend my nose, mouth and eyes. Good thing most bands are worth it.

I also hated the smell of Nickelodeon Gak. What was up with that stuff? I don't think Floam smelled horribly though.

I once read somewhere that our sense of smell is the one that is most connected to memories. I can't smell certain things without being reminded of something from my past. There's a kind of shampoo that always reminds me of my childhood, and that Off insect repellant always reminds me of past Summers.

Its very true. My friends all think I have this amazing sense of smell but its just that all my memories are linked to my smell. For instance, while walking through the auditorium I said "Wow, this smells just like my grandparents church in Houston when I was four." Now, whether or not it actually smelled like the church I'm not sure but once I caught a whiff thats the first thing I thought of. I do that all the time. I don't have a strong sense of smell but I'm very observant with it.

I know what you mean about the smell of a boy...it is kinda musty, but not like b.o. or anything...it's just a mix of manliness sweat and heat and d.o. perhaps...i don't know but it's a good thing as martha stewart would say.
My favorite smell is Gain detergant, you can always smell this stuff for days after you wash it just like ads say! I also have a really strong sense of smell, my roommate has a new candle in the kitchen and when i walked in the door all of a sudden i remembered that i had a dream about my old workplace...who knows when i had that dream, but they ALWAYS burned that same candle, so by smelling it I thought of that place and realized i had had a dream about working there again. Weird.
Another nostalgic smell is the distinct smell of a water hose...it just makes me think of slip-n-slide days and getting cut by sharp rocks from underneath!

i love the smell in a bakery and cotton candy.

marijuana is a nostalgic smell for me. my parents used to smoke weed all the time when i was little and there was always incense burning in all the plants. it wasn't until i was 17 that i figured out that the smell of incense that i spent my childhood smelling was really marijuana.

Another good topic. I swear to god I love the smell of girls, if I see a hot chick at the hotel or wherever I will walk by her to smell whatever perfume or bath and body works lotion she's wearing. It only enhances her hottness. I especially love that freesia (sp?) stuff. Holy shit, that stuff drives me insane. My first girlfriend wore it every day.

I love Nag Champa. Old churches with tile floors. Old high shools built in the 40's with tile floors. My grandparents house. Old smoky basements with pool tables. High School football games. The month of October in general.

The smell of fireplace smoke in fall, especially. It reminds me senior year in highschool, getting drunk and stoned with my friends on someone's back porch before football games.

And even though I try really hard not to eat it, waking up to the smell of bacon frying downstairs at my grandparents house is pretty damn great.

I hate new car smell. It smells like nothingness. Hair burning sucks too. And someone else's puke. My own I can deal with. I hate patchouli, too.

You also shove vicks vapor rub up your nostrils even though it clearly states not to on the package, freak!

It's amazing how many memories return to you when you pull out your old toys. When my nieces are playing with my play food or dolls, all the smells come back to me. I love the smell of my playfood donuts...they still smell of whatever flavor they were supposed to be.

Somebody mentioned the smell of asphalt...that so reminds me of someone's breath after they've just drunk orange juice and haven't brushed their teeth (naturally, since drinking orange juice after brushing your teeth is about the worst taste EVER). I hate that smell.

Rice Crispies remind me of the smell of urine.

If you stick your head inside a bag of Frito's it smells like dead fish (this was pointed out to me).

I love this topic b/c I always say "this is smells like..." and whoever I'm with thinks i'm crazy, but kinda know what i'm talking about at the same time.

I hate the smell of Bradford pear trees...we have some other trees at the house I live in, and they shed these pink berries. Apparently, it's only the female tree that does that. People just LOVE to smash the pink berries, and the emanating aroma is AWFUL. It really smells like shit. People literally walk by our house and are like, "SICK!" I'm not sure what tree it is, but we've dubbed it the Ovarian Assberry Tree.
Why would you do that?
