ok, well this is super late notice, but i'm going to the smithsonian museums tomorrow and need some advice... i've never been inside one before (a few years back they were closing when i showed up and i missed the big star wars exhibit- and yes, i'm still bitter) anyway, we won't have time to see them all so if anyone has any suggestions before 6:00 on sat. please let me know.

If you're into modern and contemporary art, definitely the Hirshhorn.
Some moron brought a cougar to a party and it went berserk.

i ended up going to the natural history one and also the holocaust museum. didn't like the natural history one too much. the dinos were cool, but it looked like 90% of the bones were plaster filler pieces. the holocaust museum was perhaps the most depressing thing i've ever seen. it will be years before i forget some of the images i saw..others are burned in my mind forever. it's amazing that our government did absolutely nothing to help the situation and it was the first time i have ever really felt ashamed to be an american... knowing that our leaders knew about the atrocities going on and turned the cold shoulder amazes me. if any of you are ever in d.c. , this is the place to go, it will change you.
