if yes, I'd like to know what you thought of it.  if not GO SEE IT!
I thought it was a great film.  while the dialogue was incredibly cheesy, it was SO comic book, so it made it totally acceptable.  The acting was perfecto for comic book - real life transposing, and the action was grrreat. i was so scared of the green goblin my sister and i were like attached to one another in fear.  anyways, go see the film if for no other reason,  kirsten and toby are so hott.

I thought the Green Goblin looked like a villain from the cheesy Power Rangers TV show. Other than that, I enjoyed the film.

I don't know how many of you may or may not read this already, but I find the best movie reviews ever at

This week he does Spiderman, and his comments are better than normal.

I liked it overall but thought some of the CGI was pretty bad. I too hated the Goblin's costume. I in general I can't stand it when I see something talking but its mouth doesn't move.

i think that's what was so freaky about it. sort of reminded me of the scream guy. (and while most of you don't know this, I am deathly afraid of the scream guy)

Spiderman was great.  Kirsten Dunst is indeed red hott.  My one complaint about superhero movies is that you always know that the superhero will ultimately win, so they're kind of predictable.  So what you're left with is, 'How cool are the action sequences/special effects?'  My favorite films are ones where anything can happen, where the good guy might just die.

What I'm really looking forward to is Star Wars.

I agree you guys. The Green Goblin costume was a copout. They could have been creative and let us see the Green Goblin's facial expressions. That helmet made him sterile and 'not all that real.' WillemDefoe has a nice goulish face. They need to use it. Also, I thought the action scenes looked too much like a video game. The newspaper editor guy was hilarious.

Can we use this to postulate some sort of comic-book-world law? 'A crazed stalker's only weakness is another crazed stalker.'

haha...I agree re: cheesy goblin costume, but the weird thing was that once or twice you could see willem's mouth moving behind the mesh that covered his mouth area. This gave it a strange Disney World character effect, which added to its creepiness. I read a quote from the guy that originally conceived the costume and it was something to the effect that they totally bastardized his idea & he hated the final version, but that he loved the movie anyway. As did I.

Good movie. It could have been better, but it also could have been a whole lot worse. I think Willem was perfect for the Green Goblin. My only gripe is with the Goblin's costume. Willem's face wouldve been much better instead of the silly helmet.
