this situation for some reason reminded me of the situation in aladdin when jafar gains posession of the magic lamp and agrabah turns into an evil city of red and black. i pictured the messageboard in all red and black and ray davies with a face that was a different color from his neck (anyone else always find that characteristic about jafar weird?). however, this is irrelevant because ray davies is quite a nice fellow and doesn't resemble jafar in the least. and though i've never met jamiecarroll, i really doubt that he's an arabic street rat. however, the messageboard is quite a bit like agrabah...

I have a lover,
A lover like no other
She got soul, soul, soul, sweet soul
And she teach me how to sing

Shows me colours when there's none to see
Gives me hope when I can't believe that
For the first time I feel love

I have a brother,
When I'm a brother in need
I spend my whole time running
He spends his running after me

When I feel myself goin' down
I just call and he comes around
But for the first time I feel love

My father is a rich man
He wears a rich man's cloak
Gave me the keys to his kingdom (coming)
Gave me a cup of gold
He said 'I have many mansions
And there are many rooms to see'

I don't see an issue, Ms. Carroll is comfortably in the lead.

Yeah, it seems like it'd be a ways off if it did happen.

Meanwhile, a real cause for concern is Mike D, who has amassed a number of posts it usually takes a couple of months or so to acquire in mere weeks. At this rate, he'll be passing the ashes from which he rose before summertime.

man Brian W, I must have been mistaken again. Wiyum, I can see how a few weeks could seem like a month, but don't worry,I still have a ways to go til that 252 posts it takes to be an Advanced Member. Does that even exist since the board transfer?

Mike,

You're listed as Screech's brother. Isn't that your custom member title? You obviously don't have "Officially a fan" listed.

Soma,

What magic? What are you talking about? OK, yeah, that kind of magic. I have a lot of power, I just have to restrain myself from using it all.

Is "Officially a Fan" now the default if you reach that magic number of posts that allows you to change things?

Yeah, I realized after the post that I had been stupid and I had remembered your transformation as having taken place like two weeks ago. But that was wrong, clearly, and I saw that "member since Feb 1" and tried to salvage things by editing the post, but alas, instead I reveal it all in an insanely rambling freeform post.

Ray,

Are you talking about the post I had up briefly about the ninja? I didn't think I left it up long enough for you to had seen it and replied to it. I changed my mind about all of this and decided whoever posts the most should indeed be first and not have the person they overtake, or might overtake, jump back in front of them.

P.S. -- I really meant it when I said your ninja had showed me the error of my ways. It was more of a joke for JC to keep him in the lead while he was taking a posting break, but really it shouldn't matter. He can always try and catch back up to you.

I would personally hate it if BrianW went all Dark Phoenix on our asses and started manipulating posts, messing with signatures, giving people 28 dots...it'd be crazy.

Then the Shi'ar would come and force us board members to fight an epic battle against the Imperial Guard in order to save BrianW/Dark BrianW. That wouldn't be cool.

In response to the message board looking Jafar-ish...I was looking at the Jonas mb, because I saw a sticker for it at JJ's Market and I was intrigued to see what they actually have to say on the Jonas mb. Anyway, it looks very Jafar-like and it freaked me out. Jonas is the worst band ever. End of story.

We need a JJ's in Chicago...
