I've been thinking about getting one for a very long time, but I just can't think of anything cool enough. I was thinking about getting a radiohead logo or something, but I'm just not sure if I want to commit to that for the rest of my life. My brother, on the other hand, is covered with probably about 30 of 'em. Mostly they're on his arms but he also has the word "Patriot" across his upper chest and "veritas" across his throat. Yeah, he and I are pretty different.

If I were to get one, I'm pretty sure I'd get it on my right calf. I have very sexy legs.

i think they're terrible, unless you're a tough sailor, a green beret, or a pirate. you just seem to cause trouble and that's not an adequate pre-requisite. you should ask smee about the one on her ankle. i think people can spend their money on better things that don't hurt. they're just about impressing other people anyway.

i plan on getting a pirate ship on my chest and an anchor on my bulging bicep.

I really don't like tattoos on girls (that goes for you too, Carl). They're just like really big, really ugly birthmarks, and those are the good ones.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

I like it when I see tattoos that are unique, not just another heart or a freaking star or some crap like that, and for the guys, don't do skulls or barbwire, or dragons....

I have had thoughts about getting a tattoo, but that's all it has been was a thought. I know that my tattoo would have to be unique/original or something not too many people would think of doing. It would absolutely be SMALL.

Those would the knuckles on my thumbs, which aren't as visible as the others. But maybe I could get really small pictures of the covers of the self-titled EP and The Beginning on there.

if he's making two fists, the thumbs won't be visible. the only things i've pondered are a skull & crossbones or a bad ass water viper.

My general opinion is that tattoos are stupid. They are really unattractive on women. It's generally a turnoff for me if a woman has a tattoo.

i have one, but it's very small and simple. it's a tiny outline of a dove on the underside of my forearm so no one ever sees it, so it's certainly not to impress other people. i don't think it's a big deal and it didn't hurt, so i say what the hell. when i'm 70 i'll look back and think what a crazy kid i was...and how funny a wrinkly dove looks. smile.gif

i was thinking of getting MOM tattooed on my arm.

no really

i'm going to get a pineapple tattoo. probably hide it on the back of my neck. my dad's samoan and called me his little pineapple when i was younger. now i'm just pineapple.

i'm samoan, dammit. i should be on an island, laying on the beach, in the sun, half naked. having a tattoo really wouldn't be that impressive.

you could always get that lawnmower tatoo...

I always said I would only get a tatoo if I drew it myself, and I used to even spend time drawing them, now I just don't care.

I remember reading some book in elementary school where a kid got a tattoo of a potato on his ankle. I can't remember if the other kids in the story thought he was cool or made fun of him.

oh geez, since (exliontamer made) you ask, i have a ice cream cone tattooed on the inside of my left ankle. not really, it's a duck with a top hat. no really, it's that stupid, spiky-haired, flute-playing kokepelli character, the one you see in people's tacky western-motif living rooms. though i'd rather it be anything but (even an ice cream cone or a duck). let's just say i was 18 & inspired by the moment.

Calvin and Hobbes! Yay! I don't think Calvin actually GOT the tattoo, though, just tortured his parents with the idea.

Personally, I think tattoos aren't very attractive on anyone. Guys included. I just don't see the need.

To a certain degree I find tattoos sexy, I think people can get carried away, and sometimes they choose the wrong colors which can make a good tat look like sh!t...

I hate it when people get words tattooed on them in like chinese or japanese symbols, they really have no clue if that symbol really means what the book says it means...

a guy i know has the chinese symbol for "pig" tattooed on his lower torso. i asked him what he would do if a girl asked him what the symbol meant. he said, "it means pig....because i am going to pork you". it was a very sarcastic answer from a very sarcastic man.....i laughed.

Both Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow had the same tattoos on their forearm. It was a sign of their Ninja Clan or whatever.

I want to say it was the Arishkage clan, but that might have been Wolverine's...I can't keep all the ninjas straight.

wow all this talk about chinese tatoos symbols. i used to really want one, but i swear i thought of the idea when i was like 13 before they were popular. rachel, that sucks about your brother.

anyway, i want to get the crimson ghost tattooed on me, and then something else, that's meaningful, like, i want the symbol for cancer (the zodiac sign , not the disease) but it looks too much like a 69.

i just can't win.

well he must have courage if he got a random tattoo and has no idea what it means...i think he should tell people stuff like, "its the chinese symbol for my dog fucked your mom" or, "it means breakin' 2: electric boogaloo"

ohhooohhhoohh, i really want to get "love is a battlefield" tattooed accross my chest in bold black letters and when i get intensely drunk, I can rip my shirt open and sing,
"we are young! we are invinciable! we stand! heartache to heartache!"

I know a gaffer that has "kung pau chicken" tatooed on his neck in Chinese letters (on purpose). He tells a story of going into a chinese restaurant and when the waitress asked for his order he pointed to his neck. "You a reery funny man" she proclaimed and promptly served him his kung pau chicken.

if anyone wants to go in on this with me, exliontamer said he'll get a "cheeseburger man wearing tennis shoes" tattoo if i pay for it & give him $20 (the idea was inspired by a temporary tattoo i got from a machine in indiana; it's the coolest thing i've ever seen).
