Ah, you speak of Ma-ti from South America. He had a pet spider monkey as well. I always thought 'heart' was kinda lame...Wheeler (the red head from the Bronx) had fire which I always thought was awesome. Gi, the Asian water controller, was also quite foxy.

Personally... Captain Planet was always for home-schooled kids at my school. But I liked it because I was a nerd.

holy shit, i loved mask when i was a kid. i had all the action figures. i remeber that the figures were mega-small, and that i had a little venom semi which had a rocket launcher inside of it. crazy stuff...

The real question is, "who remembers Dino Riders?"

Questar, the Valorians, all them darn cobra/hammerhead/ant villains all riding dinosaurs...brain boxes...it was great.

MASK was my absolute favorite as a child (except for Knight Rider). I had alot of the toys and some of the comic books. My friends used to make fun of me for playing with MASK stuff instead of GI Joe, but I always liked MASK better.

Venom's company was called Snake Oil.

Didn't MASK stand for something like Mobile Armored Strike Kommand? I agree that was a pretty bad-ass show. It was kinda like the fusion of GIJoe with all the human war and Transformers with all the transforming vehicles. I even wrote a pathetic little comic book that was a total ripoff of that show.

I think my favorite character was Hondo Calhoun. He had a car that turned into some sort of hovercraft. Or am I just making that up?

I played some with MASK, but I never saw the show.

Whatever TV show holds the 4 o'clock cartoon slot will be the one with the best selling toys. That's what did it for GI Joe and Ninja Turtles...Fox TV.

i, too, enjoy the powerpuff girls. i took my friend's little sister to see the movie in theaters and she was literally on the edge of her seat the whole time, cheering the girls on and whatnot. i guess they have a certain way of capturing their audience.

They introduced me to the Apples in Stereo, so that's a plus.

I had a dino riders video that i watched at least 3 times a day when i was a kid. it was a great show, but i liked the commercials for "mega bloks" and the "my buddy" doll at the beginning as much as the actual show.

Silverhawks anyone?

Ah, the silverhawks do not ring a bell, but it is nice to see someone who appreciates Dino Riders. I need to get those episodes onto my computer someway, somehow.

Exactly- and their "inspired by" album also has Frank Black & Bill Doss & a kickass song by a band called the Sugarplastic. I've only seen a few Powerpuff episodes, but in one almost every line of dialogue was a Beatles lyric. Doesn't get any cooler than that.
