TOPIC: The board is back

Phew! Good thing it's back...I need to get some things off my chest that could only be rightfully expressed on the internet.

A band that should be on the "Greatest" list that was forgotten in the American category is definitely Huey Lewis & the News. There's an influential band way ahead of its time that doesn't get much credit. It's hip to be square.

It's July fourth and in the truest American spirit, I celebrated freedom by sitting around all day with my thumb up my patoot and did nothing. D'oh! I have to go back to school in the morning and teach.

The new Flaming Lips CD comes out in a few weeks. I'm excited. I still haven't bought the new Sonic Youth record. I'll get it one of these days.

The news of a new EP has me asking, "What should they title the new EP and album?" My first choice is "Buffalo Heads," and they could have a cover with all their heads mounted above a mantle. Another good title would include the word "menstruate"

It was great to see a bunch of you yesterday. My next stop is a thread on DiD.

I don't like sand. It's rough, and it's coarse....and it gets ev'rywhere.

...Here, everything is smooth...and soft"

This is perhaps the cheesiest/funniest line in AOTC. Who writes that kind of dialogue?

Wow there is so much fun new stuff on the board. I'm just glad it's back. I was going through serious withdrawl.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Serious withdrawl indeed. It was a good thing that I was gone while the board was down. I would have gone insane.

Get a picture of yourself, resize it to no larger than 64x64, upload it to a webserver (mtsu students get them for free) or just email it to me and i'll put it on thefeatures server and then you can link to it in your Profile settings as your avatar.

As the message board's biggest addict, I think I had the roughest time. I actually got the shakes at one point. I got so desperate, I actually talked to some of the members face-to-face just to fill the void. I'm really glad it's back.

I was surprised to see how many kept checking the board while it was down. There was almost always at least one other person logged in. That's dedication. The Features should be proud.

kicking the message board is probably like kicking heroin. the best way is to lock yourself in a room for a few weeks to get clean. none of the methadone treatments or any of that. and remember, there's no such thing as an ex-message board addict. things you'll need to kick the habit...

one room, which you will not leave
soothing music
tomato soup: 10 tins of
mushroom soup: 8 tins of (for consumption cold)
ice cream: vanilla, one large tub of
magnesia, milk of: 1 bottle
paracetemol
mouth wash
vitamins
mineral water
lucozade
pornography
1 matress
1 bucket for urine
1 bucket for feces
1 bucket for vomitus
1 television
1 bottle of valium...

i hope this helps you all...
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

maybe you should do the opposite and lock yourself outdoors, around people.

I'll admit that I'm an addict, and I'm ok with that...but my track marks and blown veins are starting to get out of hand.
