ok ok ok i go to this really shitty school and every year we have this music festival called "rites of spring" and everyone gets really drunk and hangs out just to tolerate the shitty music they bring in to town thinking its "what us kids listen to". anyway, this year, i got the features to play at it becasue i am actually into GOOD music unlike the rest of the cretins at my school. so, hurray for me and the features!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you for being a friend.

Rhodes. Good school. One of my old roommates went there. Smart fella.

Good job on getting a band that doesn't suck. Vanderbilt's Rites of Spring featured Guster last year. Of course, Phantom Planet played before them which more than made up for it.

just an update for those who are interested,

the get up kids will not be playing MTSU (sorry carligula)...they wanted over $20,000 in order for them to play....we cant afford that....now we're stuck without a rock show at MTSU....my friend jason and i are scrambling to find a suitable replacement act and fast.....we wanna get interpol....but that's just wishful thinking

Kid Rock is pretty much lined up to play the Murphy Center

and Clipse WILL be playing MTSU sometime in April....

I heard the Vandy radio station was trying to get Interpol, but I think it fell through.

well if Vandy cant get them, then MTSU DEFINITELY cant get them....we're trying really hard to get a good band to play here but our budget sucks....

what is your budget?

you should get a free trial membership on www.celebrityaccess.com that site lists almost every single band you could think of, with their avails, fee, management, agent etc. etc. lots are cheaper than you would think!

our budget for this event is 10,000.....we could possibly go 15,000 but it's not likely.

we have a membership with that site on the computer in the main office...it's very informative.
