Anybody else seen them on tv the last few days? Their singer kills me when he takes the break to introduce the band and tell the audience how great America. His accent is hilarious. Silly Swedes.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

I like them. I would like to hear some of the Swedish Punk roots and innovators that inspire them, that may be pretty funny, fast-screaming swedes. Nuggets III, perhaps?

The Hives are alright. I only have a few songs, too. I also agree about them seeming a little generic.

i digs 'em. it's better than most of the shit passing for music on m2 and late night network tv. are you all that jaded?

the bass player looks like keith with a moustache.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

Keith, have you ever considered a moustache? I think you should.

in a case of 'the wrong place at the wrong time,' i think jonathan fire eater would be pretty big right now if they hadn't broken up...all this garage rock is getting pretty popular & they probably would've fared well. they are tons better than the hives; if you guys have never heard them, check out 'wolf songs for lambs.'

I saw the Hives with the Mooney Suzuki a few weeks ago, and it was one of the purest, most adrenaline-rushing rock shows i've ever seen. if any of you think the Hives are merely disposable garage rock, i recommend you check out their live show. They're tight, they're loud, they're dynamic, and they RAWK. of course the album isn't mind-blowing, it's just unmistakably the Hives. they're at a level of performance that's unfortunately a rarity these days.

I heard a rumor that The Hives are basically a boy band in Sweden, but here they are hailed as indie-underground rock? Is this true at all? I don't know much about the band, but of that Mooney Suzuki/Dragstrip Syndicate/Rye Coalition kind of loud rock genre that is getting more and more popular now, the Hives seem to be very good at it.

I actually saw the mooney suzuki at the red rose coffee house in murfreesboro earleir this year and it was by far one of the most energetic and invigorating shows that i have ever seen. If they ever come to a town near you, please go see them. you wont regret it.

well i think the album you downloaded was their first album 'barely legal', i dont think you had any of the songs from their new album. you should at least give it another chance.
