I saw the Rolling Stones last nite at Gaylord with my mother and I must say that it truly was an amazing experience. I was actually in awe of the fact that i was in the same building as Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts, Ron Wood and (the gremlin himself) Keith Richards. Wow. They are all STILL amazing performers and musicians (Charlie Watts makes a whole lot of noise come out of that very skimpy drum set, very nice).
Of course, in the grand tradition of The Strokes, The White Stripes and Elvis Costello as openers, I saw Lifehouse. Sigh...but it did not deter from the experience in any way. It was also entertaining to see a plethora of 40 year olds high, drunk, and really wanting a piece of Keith's wrinkled hide. Very hilarious. Of course, the cartoon of a topless woman riding a tongue while holding a knife that was played during "Honky Tonk Woman" was awkward since I was their with my mother, but hey...
Overall one of the best concert experiences ever...simply amazing.
