Yeah, the strokes are touring in October and November. But guess what? No Nashville Date. That's right, no Nashville date. The closest place is Atlanta. You would think that maybe they would come to Nashville after the Weezer fiasco. maybe the strokes will hit nashville when they do their Spring tour. oh well, at least I have the features to look forward to.

that's not cool at all. i was really looking forward to seeing them, especially now that ray seems to have recovered his last strokes concert fiasco... oh well. there will be other shows to go to. maybe if i'm lucky, travis will do another US tour- assuming that their drummer heals up nicely.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

the drummer from travis fractured some vertebrae in his neck in a swimming pool. i think he probably hit his head on the bottom or something. the band and some other people who were present thought that he was just kidding, and waited for a little while before the dragged him out.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

so where did they announce their tour dates? i just looked on the website and they hadn't put them up yet. in the newsletter they sent a few weeks ago, they listed memphis as one of the tentative tour cities. i guess they changed their mind. sad.gif thank you, mr. davies, for the heads up.

Go to thestrokes.org and it has all of the dates. I check this website more than the official site because it is updated more often and contains much more information. Wow, 3 mores in one post.

anyway, just thought i'd let you strokes fans out there know some news:

From the strokes.org

DVD
The Strokes will be re-releasing Is This It together with a DVD as a limited edition package on October 1st. The DVD will include unaired versions of NYC Cops and The Modern Age recorded for the MTV2 show in Hollywood, as well as uncensored versions of the Hard To Explain, Someday and Last Nite videos. The video component of the DVD will also be released as a stand-alone version at the end of October. There is also a chance that the whole MTV2 show will be released on DVD by the end of the year.

So there...
