TOPIC: Ummmm.... hello!

Hello everyone!
I don't know if this is the right place to introduce myself, because I am new, so if I am doing it wrong, that is why! wink.gif

My name is Lauri, and I am living in the UK... I don't know much about The Features, I just heard a few things on a radio station I probably shouldn't be listening to, and did some internet stalking to find out who they were!

Anyway, they've impressed me this much! I have a very mixed up taste in music, but my favourite bands are Cay (who you may not have heard of) and Radiohead...

I have an addiction to cheesy pop music, I drink too much whisky, I like lemon curd and 24 hour dancing and singing.
My neighbours hate me, but I bring you love!

Hello happy.gif

Really? Well, that makes a change!

Awwww thanks... hmmm. I like Jamesons and Lagavulin. I should really stop using it as a condiment, though...

I am waiting for my order for "Theres A Million Ways To Sing The Blues" to come through. So far, Amazon are failing me. (anger!)
I'm not going to lie and pretend I know more about the band than that, but I loved the song so much, and now I am interested!

Tell me more of The Features you (don't) speak of? smile.gif

Welcome, Lauri. Good work on the internet stalking, it can be pretty hard to find stuff about The Features if you don't know anything other than the band name and a few song titles. I know it took me forever to find out stuff about them online.

To my knowledge, you are the 3rd UK board member. So that makes you extra awesome and special!
That's so NA.

As far as I know, EastWest treated them badly. They released a single on ORG, and then dissappeared into thin air while making a joint album.

One of my friends said she saw Anet Mook pushing a baby in a pram...

I also heard that the band Anet and Nick are looking for a new drummer and bassist.

Hmmm! Whatever happened, I miss them!

Ahhh, well I think I had better go to sleep now. I have no-idea why I am so tired, but every time I read the "The Features" up in that top left-hand corner, I see "The Rasmus", and it won't go away!

Goodnight, all! smile.gif

Heh, nice! Not-all-here people can be fun, though... and useful!

One once offered me £1000 to get them out of hospital... (I'm a nurse, by the way! I get to talk to people who aren't all there all the time! That said, I should be calling them by something a little more PC... Do you have PC in the States? Hmmm. Does "demented" work? unsure.gif )

That would have been 25 bottles of Lagavulin, as well...

Have you seen the new cover art that was unveiled on the website/messageboard? What do you think?

The Features are planning a huge all-ages CD release show on monday the 13th at Rocketown with Feable Weiner and De Novo Dahl. Isn't that awesome? Are you going?

Oh yeah, and the Features got signed to Universal records!

That Pom Wonderful stuff is delicious. I like the Pom/Cherry ones best. I can't wait until the fruit is back in season.

There is FCUK in a few shops. I've never seen anyone wear it.

Does your town have lots of chavs?
