Who's your favorite television character who never actually appeared on television?

Mine's Tino

My true favorite is probably Carlton the Doorman from Rhoda. I went with Lars just because he's MTM related.

Mine is Maris from Frasier. That is really the only show that I watch, so that is why I chose her.

How can you not mention Kramer's friend, Bob Sacamanto?

I too went for Maris from Frasier.

I only just watched the episode where she kills her new lover with a crossbow she borrowed from Niles.

I chose Lars, and I'm surprised Digsy didn't start this topic.

I agree with Digsy that Carlton should have been on the list, and Lars would also be my second choice.

This was a hard choice but I went with Tino. He always getting Angela and Rayanne into trouble. He must be a badass.

Yeah, I'm sure he would have done a better job . I can't believe I didn't think about Bob Sacamanto, and I've never watched Rhoda.

Mine is Skunky Beaumont from "Doug."

Actually, when Doug went to Jr. High on ABC, we saw Skunky Beaumont.




Skunky is on the top bleacher on the far left.

I thought Diane was the name Agent Cooper gave his voice recorder?

Some speculate that he sent the tapes to his friend Diane who was possibly his secretary or assistant, while others say it was simply an imaginary entity to address his recordings to.

Apparently though, during the first season, Carol Lynley from The Poseidon Adventure was signed to play Diane in the second season. But that never happened because Lynch wanted to keep her a mystery. She's in Fire Walk With Me, but you don't see her, and I basically ignore a lot of the information in that movie anyway.

Yeah, I tend to believe that moreso than the idea that there's actually a real Diane.

I actually knew that, but no Doug purist would ever take into account anything that happened after ABC got involved. Post Nickelodeon Doug sucks.

It's a tie between Vera and the dad from out of this world for me.

Diane. all the way. but Tino comes in an amazingly close second only because of the ridiculous amount of conversations we've had speculating about the whereabouts of Tino.

Vera from Cheers has to top my list. And speaking of ugly characters, what about the ugly baby from Seinfeld?
I would have also liked to see Charlie, Rose's husband, from The Golden Girls.
