Spanning the genres of course:

1. FFIII (US)-Easily the best written and realized part in the series. The relic and esper systems both kept the game from being bogged down by too many ideas and let the stroyline really shine. The graphics and sound were also the best the SNES ever saw. Beautiful.

2. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City-Freedom. This game clear has a sense of freedom that no game has come close to matching. countless hours have just been spent with friends trying to outdo eachothers record. or just to see who could survive with 6 stars the longest. The story was fun and the soundtrack is killer.

3. Super Mario Brothers 3-Remember going to see The Wizard just to catch the sneak peek of this game in action? The movie is laughable but man...were you are 10...nothing compares to that big wall opening up and seeing the title across the screen. It was the pinnacle of NES gaming.

4. Virtua Fighter Evolution-I was never really into Virtua Fighter or fighting games in general until i forced myself to pick up this game. It comes with a reduced price tag (19$) and damn, you get a serious bang for yo buck. The depth of the gameplay and quest mode will easily have you playing this for months and months with only a single character. Its amazing that a fighting game has that much pull.

5. WarioWare Inc:Mega Microgame$-A tough call for number five. but really when a game is this creative and addictive at the same time something must be said for it. Its like pure sugar on the screen. And with the little full version of Dr. Mario snuck in there...

My mom used to kick me and my bro out of the house so she could play Dr. Mario. And if we walked between her and the tv, forget about it, she'd threaten our lives.

She used the game genie though so the pills wouldn't drop on there own. Bad Mommy. mad.gif

Here's what I've owned: NES, SNES, and Sega GameGear (very under-rated).

I've had some exposure to: Sega Genesis, N64, Game Cube, and Sega Dreamcast.

I've never played: Playstation, Playstation 2, or XBox.

I know, I know...shame on me. But, anyway, I've played hardly any video games at all since about 1994. And I've never played Mario 64.

I've only played a few playstation games: jeopardy, chocobo racing and some game with bubbles (bust a move?) that exliontamer loaned to his friend the first week we got it & we haven't seen it since.

i guess it just depends on the type of games you're keen on. ps1 was a better system for rpgs. a lot of people don't care for super nes, but that had great rpgs. the 64 totally lacked in that department....as does gamecube.

2. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II (a.k.a. TMNT Arcade) (NES)
4. X-Men 2: Clone Wars (Sega Genesis)

During my freshman year of college, my roommate majored in Myst. It was a cool game, though. The sequels aren't as great, though. There's talk that they're developing an on-line version where you get to explore a Myst-like world with people on the Internet. That could be fun.

Day of the Tentacle!!
Bar Games
Cosmo (I don't remember the whole name, but it he was an alien with suction cups on his hands!!)
Commander Keen
Torrin's Passage

.... All of the above are really old computer games, but they bring back the fondest of memories.. If we ever happened to have Day of the Tentacle, my favorite EVER, on the shelves of the video game store I worked at when I was 16.. we could sell it for 1 cent. Sadly that was 4 years ago.

Bar Games was on my very first computer when I was like 7.. It had small games like "Wet T-Shirt Contest" and "Pick Up Artists" on it. I didn't realize that it was a dirty game until I was older. It was still super fun.
