Because I read yahoo news, I learned that Hatfield from the Righteous Brothers died yesterday in Kalamazoo. Granted they had a few hits, but the one I will remember the most is "Unchained Melody" simply due to the fact it was on that great 80s chick flick Ghost. Yet another rock and roll pioneer dies.

This is really sad... I think me, Goose, Hollywood and Iceman will be hoisting a few tonight as we try to pick up some chicks. Maybe I'll play You Lost That Lovin' Feeling and try to woo that hot combat flight instructor....

all the best,

Mav

I always hated the Righteous Brothers. But it's sad that he died. Mostly because he died in Kalamazoo.
That's so NA.

Ya gotta a problem with the K-Zoo? Home of the K-Wings and Grand Funk Railroad?!?!?! Huh? Huh? Do ya?

My wife lived there for one year when she was in 5th grade. Points to it as the worst year of her life. I guess when you are from Bob Seager Detroit, Grand Funk Kalamazoo just doesn't cut it...

Now, that's no lie.

I have never disliked the Righteous Brothers, though Unchained Melody is played way too much on 96.3. They have some other great songs that I wish they would play. It's nice that they made it into the RNR Hall of Fame before this happened.

their voices on "...loving feeling" are among the most manliest of voices i've ever heard. the strings in the bridge section of "unchained melody" are incredible.
Nothin' gets in my way....Not even locked doors!
