Yeah, and the film "Kurt & Courtney" confirms this as well. It interviews very reliable sources like her abusive dad who hasn't seen her since she was 15 and some junkie who used to visit someone who lived near them or something. It's a really well-made documentary- almost as high-quality as Courtney's acting & singing talents.

I saw "Kurt and Courtney" this summer on the Sundance channel. it had some really intriguing stuff in it, like the famous "el duce" who was offered money by courtney to kill kurt....

Actually, I've seen Kurt AND TuPac lately. I was in downtown Franklin a couple of weeks ago, and I bumped into them at a coffee shop. They told me they're living together for a while and working on a new album together. It should be really interesting.

what's with all the hostility towards cl? she's ambitious, but she's no murderer. nick broomfield (the guy that did the kurt and courtney documentary) even said himself that he didn't think courtney had anything to do with kurt's death.
and our favourite german starfucker julia harms (she hates me for not moving to LA and working for her) was with kurt a little while before his death and hates courtney, too even says that she knows courtney had nothing to do with him being killed. if some wacked out groupie with kurt's social security number tattooed around her ankle says so, then i do kinda believe it. she's writing a book about it, so you all can read soon.

Sina, come on. Ask yourself this question: Would Hole/C. Love be ANYWHERE NEAR as famous if she had not been Kurt's wife? Be honest, now. Yes, they were an indie band with some buzz before she married him. So are hundreds and hundreds of bands that never make it beyond that level. I'm not saying that she married Kurt just so she could advance her own career, but that is the ONLY reason that she is a celebrity. And for the record, I don't remember ANY talk about "Hole are going to be bigger than Nirvana." Hell, success was virtually handed to them. When Kurt died, Love was handed a golden ticket that said, "The next album you put out will go platinum, no matter what. Congratulations."

If he thought they were so great, I guess that's why he had to write half of Celebrity Skin for them.


Yes, Kurt did take his own life. I don't believe that Courtney had anything to do with Kurt's death. He was fucked up. But from everything I can tell, Courtney Love is a manipulative, psychotic woman with not much talent (as a musician or an actress).

I do remember the single of Live Through This (I believe it was Violet or Violent or something like that) getting some radio play prior to Kurt's death, but the whole "Doll Parts" thing, which really turned into Hole's swan song in popularity, was after.

Actually, the first single off "live through this" was "miss world" and it did get some airplay before kurt's death. it was a good song. "violet" was the third single off of "live through this", released after the success of "doll parts"...

And I really really do like all three of those songs; I went grunge about 9 years after the rest of America I think....

My timeline may be off on this perhaps, and I know Knoxille's station for rock (then Z94) was notorious for playing songs that weren't necessarily the single. Anyway, I know I'd heard it before the whole Kurt dying thing, and that station was the only place where I would've heard it.

courtney was an actress before she was a musician. straight to hell and sid & nancy. she had them both down before kurt came along. (even though straight to hell sucked,) they both ended up cult classics with alex cox's name attached.
and she was dating billy corgan when she hooked up with kurt.
