"What Child is This?" kicks ass. That's one of my favorite traditional Xmas songs.

Ben Fold's "Lonely Christmas Eve" is also the joint.

OK, 6969hOoBaInCuBuS420, this is just my opinion, but I think that the following are all really great Christmas songs:

"Christmas All Over" Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (though the ending is kinda cheesy)
"Blue Christmas" Elvis Presley
"Thanks for Christmas" XTC
"Silver Bells" REM (Mike Mills!)
"Santa's Beard" They Might Be Giants

My all time favorite traditional Christmas carol is "O Holy Night"...what a beautiful song.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I have to agree with Jamie Carroll add these to my list:

Let it Snow - Luscious Jackson
Wonderful Christmas Time - Sir Paul & Wings
Skating - Vince Guaraldi Trio (The Charlie Brown Christmas Music")
Christmas in Hollis - Run DMC
Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses
Christmas With Jesus - Josh Rouse (Don't know if that really counts)
The Heat Miser Song - Heat Miser

My favorite traditional is "O Come All Ye Faithfull" in latin. Yeah call me weird, but you can take the boy outta Catholic school, but you can't take the... anyone have any plaid skirts?!?!?!

The Dandy Warhol's "Little Drummer Boy" is genius. Very, very well done...a good listen any time of the year.

The Waitresses "Christmas Wrapping" is also very good and catchy. "Wonderful Christmas Time" by Wings is also a childhood favorite of mine, as well as all those darn Alvin & The Chipmunks songs. I also enjoy the Smashing Pumpkins' "Christmastime" and Noel Gallagher's cover of "Merry Xmas" and Weezer's "Christmas Celebration." Sheryl Crow's "Blue Christmas" is also enjoyed by me...

My favorite two would have to be Burl Ives' "Holly Jolly Christmas" and the Vince Guaraldi Trio's "Christmas Time Is Here". One merry and one utterly depressing (in a happy winter sort of way), both great.

Christmas Music is just good as a whole...even that Mariah Carey "All I Want For Christmas Is You" song is good.

Man, I love Home Alone. Everybody thinks I'm crazy, but I love the second one too. It's one of my Mom's favorite movies, and whenever I ask her if she wants to watch a movie, that's always the one she picks (no matter what time of year it is). I think the reason I like it so much is because I see her laugh until tears roll down her face, then I have to laugh and cry as well. It's quite sad really.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

home alone's awesome, but i know what you're talking about. i can't laugh when someone trips and falls. my first instinct is to help them up. i remember watching lord of the flies in a high school english class. everyone laughed when the rock fell on piggy. i thought that was somewhat disturbing. america's funniest home videos was just stupid. though for some reason, i remember being greatly amused by jackalope(or was that america's funniest people?).

I love Home Alone and Home Alone 2.

Yes "Home Alone" 1 & 2 are both great.

"Get yer ugly, yella, no good keister off my property before I pump your guts full of lead!"

I never realized how funny that movie was until recently...I used to just laugh at the end but now I find myself more entertained by the beginning.

Hell yes it was Dave Coulier and America's Funniest People. Anyone else get a kick out of the irony of a Canadian hosting a show that purports to be so ideally American?

And does anyone else remember the Dave Coulier show on Nickelodeon? For the life of me I can't remember its name. For some reason I want to say "Cut It Out" but I feel that this is wrong.

Home Alone 1 is great, Can't say the same for 2, I fear. Best part of Home Alone is John Candy's brilliant improvisation (all of his part was improvised, and shot in a single day). That man is the funniest man to ever have lived.

As for Christmas music, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra albums are great, as are the Christmas albums of They Might Be Giants and Squirrel Nut Zippers. And a compilation just came out with Coldplay's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" which is particularly magical.

it was called out of control.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.
