Do you guys believe in astrology? What's your sign; how close are you to being the things you're "suposed to be"?
I'm a cancer, and I'm very sensitive and creative. I believe being born in a certain month gives you certain character traits, but I don't believe the daily horoscope thing.
thank you for being a friend.

I've always been under the impression that the personality traits assigned to Zodiac signs by astrologists are just vague enough to seem to fit with anyone. That said, I'm a capricorn, so apparently I'm practical and prudent, ambitious and disciplined, patient and careful, humorous and reserved, pessimistic and fatalistic, miserly and grudging. I don't know, am I any of these things? I have no idea, seeing as though it is hard to pass unbiased judgement on yourself.
I am a horse with no name.

I'm a cancer as well and I guess I fit in with the general description, even though I don't really put any stock in it.

I've been told that I'm a cancer on society, but I don't think this is what they were talking about.

Virgo. And, yes, I am efficient, analytical, reliable to a fault, and it's painfully obvious that I'm a "grammarian and etymologist" . But definitely not a perfectionist, hopefully not "pedantic and spinsterish" , and never have had a "flair for dress". "still waters that run deep"?? Not so sure about that one. Have to ask my husband about this: "but their love making is a perfection of technique rather than the expression of desire"- haha, robot love

I'm a Taurus:
"The sign Taurus is symbolized by the Bull. You are practical, peace loving, stubborn, slow and deliberate. You will walk away from an argument. Taurus is tenacious, artistic, musical, and has a "feeling" for things. Taurus is emotional, determined, stable, and persistent. Taurus has a love for beauty and harmony. You like to prove your worth. You have a love of sensuous pleasure, and are fond of good dining."

It sounds pretty right on, except it forgot "really really good looking."
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

"Scorpios are the most intense, profound, powerful characters in the zodiac. Even when they appear self-controlled and calm there is a seething intensity of emotional energy under the placid exterior. They are like the volcano not far under the surface of a calm sea, it may burst into eruption at any moment. But those of us who are particularly perceptive will be aware of the harnessed aggression, the immense forcefulness, magnetic intensity, and often strangely hypnotic personality under the tranquil, but watchful composure of Scorpio. In conventional social gatherings they are pleasant to be with, thoughtful in conversation, dignified, and reserved, yet affable and courteous; they sometimes possess penetrating eyes which make their shyer companions feel naked and defenseless before them."

I think Virgo has always been the schoolmarm of the zodiac. I don't think I'm most of those things, but it's pretty hard for me to judge my own character and quirks. I think far too highly of myself....hey, isn't modesty a Virgo quality? Fuck that.
That's so NA.

Pisces. . . Most pisces I know seem to be bi-polar or insane in some semi-certifiable way. I think I'm crazy, but I haven't had a Dr. tell me for sure. I like the water and I think thats a trait or somthing, but it doesnt matter cause yet again I agree with andrew, astrology is a steaming pile, I have enough people who are full of hot air trying to give me advice without having to listen to the stars.

I'm a Taurus. Everything in Keith's descriptions fits except this: "You will walk away from an argument."

I don't believe in the daily horoscopes, mostly because they never say anything useful like, "Today will be utter crap, stay in bed." or "Don't eat that burrito".
But the general descriptions they give for character traits are usually pretty accurate.

I'm a Taurus and all that stuff Kieth said is pretty accurate.. expecially the love of good food! And I always bicker with anyone who is an Aries. tongue.gif

I'm not a psychologist, but I understand that the different factors that determine a person's personality are very, very complex. How can people seriously believe that it's based simply on the alignment of the stars on the day you were born?

The season in which a woman carries her fetus, to me, would potentially have an impact on that child's brain development.

I used to be very skeptical but I've come to believe that there might be something to astrology. My girlfriend is really into it and can almost always tell someone their sign after spending just a few minutes talking to them. It's uncanny.

I'm a Cancer by the way and I fit the bill to a tee. Seems like there are quite a few Cancers around here. Maybe we are easily drawn to the Features' music.

hmm...i seem to be the lone Libra...interesting. i am definitely a Libra.
i often like to say "indecision is my birthright - i'm a Libra" when people get ticked when i won't or can't make a decision! the whole scales thing seems especially pertinent right now in my current pre-mid-life crisis (can you have a mid-life crisis at 27?) ...anyhooooo...i've got the Libra thing down, both good & bad.
And as your fantasies are broken in two

I'm a Sagitarrius (and apparently, the only one):

"MENTAL ATTITUDE:

You are coverageous, ambitious and full of drive . You are able to push forward your interests. You will not be cowed down by the circumstances and are well capable of holding on to your ground even in most adverse circumstances.

GENERAL NATURE:

You take a decision only after studying any problem deeply. A Sagi woman tends to look at the brighter side of the things and possesses good amount of self-confidence. She mostly acts as per her desire and is not much concerned about the results. She also has the habit of speaking as she wants to without thinking of the impact it can have on others. Friendship comes easily to a Sagi woman . She can develop it in a moment and maintain it for a long period of time. You believe in fairplay & justice and often fight for wronged people. You will work to attain new knowledge and like to pursue higher education. You like to travel and shall go on long and short journeys a number of times in your life. You will also be able to attain your goals fast but after that you tend to waste lot of your energy. Even after having a fair degree of success in her life, The Sagi woman does not feel satisfied and something deep within them does not let her rest."

I'm not sure what being "coverageous" entails, but most of the rest of it sounds like me. huh.gif
