Im at uni in Sheffield, Ill keep an eye out for any dates in the city. The Features show at the Leadmill was before I moved here, and I cant say I've ever seen any of their shows advertised.

"Boy Called Roy

Jaunty punk-pop fronted by a cheery young fellow looking like a primary-school teacher masquerading as a pop-star. Prickly guitar pop swirled with an occasional Tropicana vibe, some quirky little drum breathers and drawling vocals – a gold star for the lads from Sheffield. The steel city has a seemingly endless conveyer belt of talent at the moment and Boy Called Roy are the next in that long line."

Indeed they are...along with Cabaret Voltaire, The Human League, Heaven 17, ABC, Artery, and.......Def Leppard. I highly recommend the documentary "Made In Sheffield" for anyone that even has a passing interest in any of the above bands. I know Grimey's sells it. I think Joe Cocker was from Sheffield too.

Jarvis' dad used to go around saying that Joe Cocker was his brother.

You know what sucked? "Live Forever."

Not nearly enough Pulp.

By Pulp I mean Jarvis.

You should buy "Made In Sheffield" if you're a Jarvis fanatic. It has a lot of good interviews with him and his sister, Saskia. Oh and Jarvis or no, "Live Forever" was horrible. The only mildly cool thing about it was how it showed Tony Blair manipulating British youth for his own political gain.
