so i'm watching MtV and i see the old Meat Loaf video "I Will Do Any Thing For Love". i always wondered what was the one thing he wouldn't do. the video really doesn't give any insight to it either.

can you imagine the director of the video talking to meat loaf about the concept?

director: ok!! this is what i had in mind! we will dress you up as a beast and put you in a castle. then we will have a bunch of angry people trying to break in and kill you. meanwhile, while you are singing the song, a beautiful half-naked model will be on a platform in a white dress singing the back up. what do you say?

I remember a Meat Loaf interview from the time. THe song is sort of in the vein of 15-year-old love and its grand visions of everything, and how it usually has a limit.

All my friends as freshmen in high school assumed it was about abstaining from sex.

Ironically, he won't eat meatloaf.
